Collage Alphabet
Hi!
Okay I could really use some help. I'm waffling about buying the new Collage Alphabet. I like the look, the price is a factor along with the usual question, "Will I really use this set?". I was wondering if anyone has bought the set or will be buying the set. I'm interested in opinions if this is a good set to purchase. I have seen the samples on this site and I'm still waffling. Help!!! I have a lot of other alphabets, but nothing like this. If I do order the Collage Alphabet I will get the Garden Collage SAB set. Thanks for your opinions.

I don't have it yet, but I LOVE this set and it's definitely on my list of things to get.
Plus, if you buy it now, SU will donate $5 to tsunami relief....

Bought it...used it...LOVE it!
And the funny thing is, I've never really done collage style before, but I loved the look of this Alphabet because it's unique. I tried a collage style card and it was so easy with this set! Perfect because I wanted to try collage, but didn't know which sets to invest in, and the alphabet is definitely all purpose and all occasion! I think it's a great investment

I bought the collage alphabet, and I LOVE it. I used it for a 6x6 page I made about my boys, for a caption that reads "my boys" - it looks great. I also used distressed paper on the page - the style works well with the alphabet. The $5 donation was the perfect excuse to buy it. I am getting the numbers next.

I bought it on Jan. 1, mounted it, but due to an upcoming trip out of the country I haven't had a chance to play with it yet.
I'm dyin' to play though and its killin' me to know I have it and don't have time to play right now
I'll play when I come back from vacation.

alphabet set
I think it will be more usable than some of the other alphas. I think that because of the collage look, it will be more versatile for use on cards because you won't have to worry about perfect placement(time saver). I have it and love it!

Have it, love it. I think the greatest part is that it doesn't have to be perfect, straight or anything like that. It just adds to the effect. Besides it is really different from alot of the other sets that are offered as far as style goes.

Collage Alpha Stamp set
I love this set. I have had it for I guess a month. I have used it many times. Recieved a lot of great comments. Onething I used it on was stamping my daughters name on a glass photo frame. I was just playing around stamping on glass. It turned out beautiful. Love it. Better than buying all the stickers and still not having enough of one certain letter. Go for it... Lisa

Not to hijack the thread, but what is this another poster mentioned about money going to Tsunami relief? Is it just with that set or all orders? Does anyone have details? I think that's wonderful!

Right now, SU! is donating $5 of every alpha set purchased until Feb 28. The number sets don't count, but all the alphas do.
I bought Collage Alpha & Simple Type double alpha Dec 22......have used collage alpha TONS (love it & canvas together)! I *think* this one will make it into the catty in July, but it's gonna kill me not to be able to use it after Feb 28. It's by far my favorite alphabet set! Buy it!

Hi!
Okay, I'm convinced. I have only heard positive reports and I did tour the gallery and saw some great samples. Looks like I'll be ordering this set for sure. Thanks for all the help.

As an added bonus, if you ever need to write a ransom note this set would be perfect! And you'd be hard to find since there are so many stampers in the world!
What would you do it you rec'd this note? Bye bye hubby; I'll miss you!

I'm not getting it right now... Not because I don't like it - I like the Vintage look (which includes Office Ephemera!), but I don't have a knack of doing stuff with this look AND, perhaps more importantly, my customers reallly aren't into that look at this point!! I will save the $$ I'd use on that for the new Spring Mini!!!

Beverly - you crack me up! That is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw this set - looks like a ransom note! I really didn't like it, but now so many people are in love with it, and so maybe I'll have to bite...darn it!
Think I'm gonna print off your letter and mail it to my house (hubby usually gets the mail!)

I actually love this set, but I love the collage look. I'm preparing for a class tonight and will upload my real collage card when I'm done. In my mind it looks good, so we'll see!

If for no other reason than I am straight-line challenged I bought this alpha set, mounted it and am just starting to play with it!
I personally love it as you don't ahve to worry about getting things "lined up"!!! I did mention I am line challenged???!!!!
I also love the look it give me - you can "dress it up" or let it just be lazy!

collage alphabet
This was the first thing I ordered from the winter mini. It was a must have. I love collage. No worrys about this set. Stamp anywhere you like on the cardstock and it looks like you meant to stamp it that way. Don't have to mess with perfect placement. I'ts my favorite alpha set, and I hope it makes it to the big catty this year. I think it will. I don't remember seeing an alpha set from a mini that didn't go to the big catty.

STRAIGHT LINE CHALLENGED- Love it!!!!! That's funny! (me too!)
I LOVE this set. It is awesome. I have tried recreating the look with random letters from all of my alpha sets before this came out, but it just wasn't the same. I'm glad I waited until Jan to buy mine, so my $5 could go to the Tsunami fund!

I have used it on cards and scrapbook pages - I absolutely love it and I'm not into the "collage" thing!
I highly recommend it!

Reading this thread has convinced me that I need this set. I'm preparing an order for next week and was so torn between the Alphadots and the Collage Alphabet. I've been wanting the Alphadots ever since Convention. But Collage Alphabet is so unique! Which one should I order?!

I have been struggling with the same dilema. I liked it but I am trying to keep from buying everything I like. Another demo in my downline said it would be great for her kids' school projects. I have seen so many great samples at Leadership and in swaps. It is so tempting. I must have self control. Of course I could also earn the money back with those ransom notes. Hmmm.

geez you guys are your ransom notes, lol.
Okay, this set wasn't even on my horizon, so why did I even look at this thread? But since I too am "line challenged" (!) I will have to give it another look. I'm not into the collage look so I sort of dismissed it....
