Default Cleaning a rubber brayer

Question for you all. I have searched the archives, but did not find the answer that satisfied me. I have a rubber brayer, and did not realize some of the colors would stain it, even when rinsed right away. How would you suggest cleaning it so that all the color comes off. Even if it won't all come off, I want to make sure it is clean, even if stained, so that if I use it for a light color it will not muddy up the stamp pad I am using. Mostly I am having a problem with black and also with a cheap multi colored pad I have. Can you use bleach to clean the stamp? How about simple green. Can the brayer soak in either of these if you can use them? Any other suggestions? Maybe soak it overnight in a cup of the stampin mist? Help> Thanks so much!

The 90% alcohol I use to make polished stone cleans up just about everything! Just make sure to clean the brayer with SU cleaner to condition it.

Have you tried bleach? I have messed up my rubber brayer really well, and it is all sorts of different colors. I have used a toothbrush and hand soap, but that didn't seem to do the trick. I ended up just putting it away and not doing anything with it since. Quite a shame actually. Maybe I will try bleaching it to see what happens and report back, it's not like I can mess it up much more.

Anyone else's kind of sticky?

I also have the acrylic brayer, and did the faux suede with it, I cleaned it immediately after I used it, but it's still all stained with the brown applique. Any ideas on ways to clean it and get all the residue off?

I used the bleach pen on mine. Let it soak about 15 minutes and it is still a little stained, but it's clean and I could use it for light colors if I hadn't used the stain as an excuse to buy a second rubber head. It did work, I used black and it came off. Now it's just a purple haze on the brayer.
