Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending May 1, 2011
Happy May Day!!!! It's rainy here in Ohio, but the grass is brilliant, deep green and healthier than it's ever been.
See, I'm trying to look on the bright side of the rainiest spring I've ever experienced.
But we're here for the CLEAN AND SIMPLE FAVORITES OF THE WEEK, not a weather report. This was an AMAZING week in the gallery...I know I missed A LOT and can't wait to see everything y'all found.
NEWBIES to this thread...please note that EVERYONE is invited to share links to favorite clean and simple projects from the past week's gallery. Don't be afraid to jump right in and share, because our philosophy is THE MORE, THE MERRIER!
I'll get the thread going with just a few on my favorites, and then post a second batch in a bit. I'm late getting this thread going this morning, and I know some of you are eager to get your favorites posted, too!
biggan scored two in a row with me, first with her fabulous birch bark card, then with her fabric card (note how she masked the flower from Embrace Life to make her arrangement more interesting and balanced...sheer genius!)
cmcmathey seriously ROCKED some washi tape on her Just Because set
sweetnsassystamps artfully colored her sweet beach scene so perfectly (check out the white caps!) I feel a passionate longing for sand and surf
bon2stamp's sweetly rustic Nature Walk card is simply beautiful
LMcAree used DENIM to piece her fabulous flower card...with pearl accents! I knew pearls went with jeans....
limedoodle used bright colors and lots of white (my favorite combo!) to make a very cheerful Hello Friend card
StampGroover always inspires me with her CAS style, and this Holy Communion card is no exception...check out the pearl accents
stampercamper used texture, lots of white, and spotlight coloring to create a softly pretty Sail Away scene
I'll be back in a moment with the rest of my favorites, but let me say that SCS is a fabulous place for CAS inspiration...my thanks to EVERYONE who posts CAS cards or who supports the CAS effort with encouraging comments.

Feeling a bit stunned and overwhelmed, actually.
Can I apologize now to all the Enthusiastic Embellishers and Liberal Layerers out there who are no doubt looking at my gallery this morning, thinking, "What the HECK am I going to do with THIS?!?!?!"

I think there is enough inspiration there, that they will come up with something, no problem....
The talent here is amazing!

More Favorites, as Promised!
Here's the rest of my list for this week.
k dunbrook blew me away with her A New Day card...the neutral background provides the perfect setting for her gorgeously colored butterfly to pop right off the card!
mamamostamps used pink white space to great effect on her gorgeous Faux Silk Blossoms; check out the row of bling...be still, my heart!
jacynthe used ribbon scraps and liquid applique to make a brilliantly yummy chocolate layer cake
love5523 posted an absolutely fab black-based card that is perfectly balanced to be cheerful and so very fun!
Bar balanced three little silk flowers with a button and ribbon so beautifully on her Happy Birthday card
Heather T created a simply magnificent Blossoms card that looks like fine art rather than stamping
willysgirl made a Coffee Travel Cup card that is adorable
hskelly's one-layer CC320 card is so sweet and pretty!
teristampsalot posted a Celebrate Today card that uses a very happy, colorful row of celebratory circles on a wonderfully clean base with just one bit of bling to make it extra special!
Now, off to see what I missed!

Hi Joan B.....FS just stands for FEATURED STAMPER...it is a Sunday challenge here on SCS. I get stumped by the acronyms too.

Thanks so much Lisa "lisa lara" for mentioning my "Happy Together" baby quail b-day card for our almost 2 yo GS. I have to admit. I thought it was pretty cute and I think Cash will love it.
Isn't it just WAY COOL that Susan is todays FS for the week Well deserving Susan. I will be playing a little later.
