Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending July 18, 2010
Good Morning! Welcome to the Clean and Simple (or CAS, for short) Favorites of the Week thread!
EVERYONE is invited to share links to her/his favorite CAS cards and projects from last week's SCS gallery.
I'll get us started with these beauties I found in my rather limited gallery time this week.
dougnat posted this lovely Copic-colored jar of flowers
biggan blew me away again with her gorgeous angel card
brierrose used a few buttons, a bow, and vast expanse of kraft cardstock to make a warm and wonderful thank you card
rsalamon's Hi card is a perfect combination of fun elements in a little CAS collage
Heather T used kraft and white for max impact on her sweet daisy card
Krystie Lee, a queen of CAS, posted a lot this week that made my heart happy, but this little Christmas owl with the branch border punch is adorable; her Growing Green card and Spooky Owl card were also stand-outs
ceedee's winter berries card is a real stand-out with its one layer and heat and pressure embossing and little berries
NwP kept her watercolor card clean and simple and perfect
bon2stamp used lots of white space and a clean, soft flower image and friendly sentiment on her awesomely CAS happiness card
sblondin made me LOL and squeal with pure CAS-lovin' joy at her Snowman in a Snowstorm card; her Winter Snowflakecard is beautifully composed and fabulous, too!
girlgeek101 used Glimmer Mist to spritz her watercolor fern for a simply gorgeous OLC
katolejnik made me laugh with her cute Frazzled? frog
vdutchr used a single pop of color and lovely texture to get her message across with her CAS thank you card
mnfroggie gave a fun lime twist to the standard lemons-to-lemonade card...key lime pie....yum!
Now it is YOUR turn. Please share your CAS favorites from the last week with the rest of us so we can see what we missed in the big, big gallery.
And why not make someone's day by leaving a little love in the form of comments? Comments are a nonfattening, inexpensive, and delightful way to make someone's day! ;)
I love this thread and look forward to checking it out every Sunday morning before I go to church. Thanks for posting and thanks to all the ladies for sharing the beautiful cards they've made!!

I love checking it out before church too, but sometimes I have to go early and don't get a chance until later in the day.
Good morning ladies!!! I'm the first one up this morning and enjoying the peace and quiet, so I actually got to sit back with my coffee and enjoy the cas gallery a bit! There are so many fantastic cards, so I focused on a few that stood out as "I never would have thought of that!" moments.
Eshacs holly card knocked me out when I saw it on her blog! I have the same set that she used, but the way she stamped it in white and used red twinkle stickers just blew me away!
Debdebs beautiful pink watermelon card is just so sweet! I love how she was able to use the same color on the background and focal image, yet it still stands out!
Im in awe of rsalamons little grouping on one side of the card. I love that look, but find it so difficult to pull off myself. Amazing!
Tiffguams citrus card is so bright and fun! I have been able to resist washi tape up until now, but I think she did me in! Super delicious card!
Lateblossom really inspired me to make some masculine cards with her awesome cactus card! Ill definitely be borrowing that layout! ;) I also have major cardstock lust. Major!
Susan thanks so much for listing my card as a CAS fav - how fun! (and to think it's all because of you that I am getting into CAS cards!) Karen - thanks for letting me know - you are really good about that!
Thanks Diane for mentioning my Just Believe card!! It made the 147 attempts to stamp it worth it!!!
Here are some of my favorites: Beedubye She actually made the Duggars look cute! bwstamper Yummy yummy sponging! hobbywoman If this color combo doesn't make you happy, there's no hope for you! lisa lara I love how her sponging just glows! jovialjudi Hello? Is this jovialjudi's shabby embossed rose card? It is? Well, if you not busy tonight, I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me because I'm in love with you!!! Karen B Barber The girl that started all this double embossing nonsense! Biggan Looking at this card bring my blood pressure down instantly! darleenestamps [fan club gallery] The amount of ridiculousness in this card is, in fact, ridiculous.
Thanks so much for mentioning my "Dream Pig" card - you put a big ol' smile on my face!!!

Thanks, Diane and Krystie, for the sweet comments on my lazy summer days watermelon card! I have had that image colored and cut out for several weeks just waiting for the right inspiration, and Ryann's challenge gave me just the direction I needed! Karen, you're a Love for letting us all know when our cards are listed! Y'all just made my Sunday! Big grins and happy dances here!
Now this is a way to start the day...finding out one of my cards is a CAS fave. I am honored. Thank you MEG and DIANE for including me in your distinguished list. I love CAS.
Wow! That's all I can say about the gallery this week! Thanks, all!

THANK YOU SO MUCH Susan for making my day ...... I haven't added to my gallery for weeks (life just happens!) so for you to notice this card and add it to your favs list is a real boost.... I am honoured. I know I'm not the only one who really appreciates you making time in your busy life to start this thread each week .... hugs to you
Thanks too Karen for letting me know I made it this week
Oh my goodness, what a lovely surprise. Thank you so much for including me in your favs list, amazing gallery this week so many great cards. So kind of you to take the time, really pleased you like the card

Holy smokes! Thanks for noticing; I really did spend an inordinate amount of time trying to think of something else to add. I am glad I resisted, though.
Thanks, Susan, for mentioning my card! Unfortunately I didn't get time to play today, but tomorrow I should have some time to stamp and I'll try to just get something up then. Maybe I could try to combine it with the color challenge.

Double Embossing? Sounds interesting, I looked in her gallery, and I couldn't find what you meant by double embossing.... any examples you could show us? Thanks~!
