Default CHF---the rummage bin is up!

Ok, even though I thought it was a long shot. The new stamps are up at CHF.

Don't worry, I already put my order in. I love them all, but only got 3. Well and a couple backgrounders to go with them.

Thanks for the link! I like many of these sets, especially the primitives one. One thing I wonder about is the images that are cut off by the edges of the picture--are they only half-images on the stamp, or is it a complete image? Like the top set--are those flourishes and that flower really halves only? I guess one would use a half-image on an edge of a card or page, but the whole image would be better. Anyone know about this?

I know the Rummage Bin was designed with scrapbooking in mind, but can be used on cards as well....here is one example of the half flower you were in question about

It seems like the half-images are really half-images, not complete images.

The illustrator - Lesley Langdon - Has a super edgy flair. She has designed images unlike any others on the market, and yes they are the images as you see them. The images are created to be added either to the edge of your page or card as well as to be used for going above or beneath an image or coming from the side without having to mask and getting a really nice crisp imprint.

I think "The Rummage Bin" is the name of Lesley Langdon's line of stamps at Cornish Heritage Farms. Maybe she called it that 'cause the images look like treasures one would find in a rummage bin?

oh my! these are exactly my style! Totally funky and quirky and so original. The designs are gorgeous. I love every one of them. "Time to Stamp" is now on my "I want this" list. I'm going to have to look at all of the artist's other sets.

CHF is a top notch company, both in terms of quality and customer service and general niceness too. Don't worry about buying from them! I LOVE the new Lesley Langdon stamps. I love them too much in fact!!! I so want about 4 of those sets right now....

However, I have to admit that I was totally confused by the name Rummage Bin. I thought it meant that this was where CHF was going to get rid of stamps they didn't want anymore.

Suggestion? Maybe under Rummage Bin it could say (Lesley Langdon's stamps). Or is this none of my business!!??

Agree.
I thought it meant they were having a special Clearance Section....

Ditto.
I got the email and immediately thought clearance.
Maybe they should re-think it - or like you said, Joan, maybe it's not any of my business.
Well, I'm off to check out the rummage bin.

I wondered at first if it was a special sale. When I saw them I knew why they named them that. They look like images of great thrifty finds that I NEVER find but hear about!

I agree with Joan (generally a good policy, agreeing with Joan) if you have any concerns about ordering from CHF go ahead and let them go, they are top notch and they won't do you wrong.

Also they have crazy high quality rubber. You know, not all rubber is created equal, I've not seen any better than theirs.

while you are there look at Asela's stuff, the Thomas Kinkade stuff if that's your sort of thing, and the backgrounders. Do NOT skip the backgrounders. You want them! And Kim Hughes is my very favorite designer right now (as in today, I change all the time) so look there too.

It could get expensive.

What fun designs! I just wish I had some moo-lah (sp?) for them right now. They definitely should put Lesley's name with the "Rummage Bin" part...I thought it was a sale area as well.

It's funny. I never even thought of the term "rummage bin" in that way (as in "for sale"). It makes me think of searching through those boxes at flea markets and finding something old and chipped ... and then taking them home and giving them a new life. I love finding things like that.

Talking CHF Is the BEST!

I have ordered multiple times from CHF and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ordering from them. I can order on a Sunday, it's packaged on a Monday, and I have it by Wednesday. Unbelievable customer service, if you ask me!! I can't say enough nice things about CHF - and yes, their backgrounders are a MUST SEE item! I prefer them to the SU backgrounds because they are so much more versatile. Hope you have the same experience as I do.

Just thought I would pop in and say hi to thank you all for the lovely comments about the new line.

It's funny about the name because my husband had the same thoughts that some of you did! I think if you see the logo, you will see what I was trying to get at....kind of like finding that treasure admist a heap of stuff!

I am so humbled to think that people will be using these stamps to create! This makes me very happy.
