That would be perfect Kathy. I resisted buying one as I already had the tool you hit with a hammer and various size tips for it as well as the Crop-o-Dile and figured for the number of times I want to make a hole in something I couldn’t justify the cost or storage space for another tool!

My sons used a coupon and bought it for me a couple of years ago. While I don't use it often, the times I need it I am glad they bought it!

The MIX is up. We are using rubber bands as our coloring tool this week.

Have you ever used rubber bands as a coloring tool? I don't think I even have any around right now. I had to toss the last batch away because they had become brittle. I didn't even know rubber bands would do that!

What is the oddest thing you have ever used as a coloring tool?

I am thinking of my new black cat dies. What pops into your head when you find out the challenge is Halloween?

What an interesting question Angie. I would have to say dried pasta closely followed by my elbow after I ran out of clean fingers.

I think mine was a toilet paper roll for acrylic paints. ( there was a challenge for that once remember that?) or hubs old marbles same deal inks in lines in a box being tilted with them rolling around in it.

Sorry, I didn't get the chance to post our Featured Stamper yesterday. I was enjoying time with my daughter! The great thing at SCS is the challenges never expire! So let's show some love to Rebekah this week! I have known Rebekah since I first found SCS and I have been a recipient of her beautiful cards over the years!

Misti, posted this week's CAS challenge! Yay!

The TLC is acrylic block stamping but it's NOT what you think! Karen included a video from Lydia on this technique.

So check out the the TLC and come back here and let us know if you have ever done this particular technique. If you have a card link it for us so we can see.

As always, let us know if you play in any of the challenges so we can see what you created and leave a comment!

Todays WT760 is to add WIRE. What item(s) do you have in your craft room that fits the challenge?

I saw spiral clips and shape clips in the gallery. I have a lot of them. Wire thread appears in the gallery and actual wiring is featured too. A gorgeous wire butterfly makes an appearance as well.

I hope you have the chance to play along.

I have to chime in here with the most unusual thing I've painted with. As a preschool teacher I used to cover a table with white paper and give my students all sorts of stuff to paint and print with, using tempera paint. The most fun for me (and the kids, I think), were toy cars, trucks and farm equipment with wheels. Rolling the little vehicles in paint and onto the paper always was fun - complete with sound effects vriom, vroom!

Today Julie is bringing us the Inspiration Challenge.

Instead of a question how about telling us a little about the bright spots in your week.

A week of relational moments not to be forgotten:
My week started by having supper with a small group of couples. Always a blast.
Followed by a second time meeting with an SCS friend, first time for our husbands.
An overnight stay near FT Benning meant meeting several graduates from boot camp all shiny and new. And on the last day of our mini vacation we took our son out for lunch and a bit of shopping too. It was a wonderful week of relational moments not to be forgotten.

I've been MIA because I had a bad cold and was off work for a couple of days, then recovering. It sounds as if you had a lovely week, Angie.
We had lunch today with my aunt, and two cousins who are over from the UK, which was really nice. Even if I just felt like spending the afternoon in bed, it was worth the effort.
Yesterday I had a long day in work, so instead of walking into town afterwards to collect DH's clarinet, I took a bus. The first one to pass was packed so I let it go by and waited for the next one; I got on and heard my name being called, and it was someone who had to leave work a few months back after losing her sense if smell. It was nice to meet her like that.

I think something i seen in the gallery that was posted for the IC had been cross linked to some challenge ( but, it was maybe a blog thing or a MFG thing and my minds blank now what I seen) ( she didn't link to it just mentioned it)

so, I think its possible there are some, usually Sandy Allnock has something. ( this year I think they are sketches) something.

The Teapot challenge is up. We are sending our cards to someone who is going through Cervical Cancer and asking for birthday cards.

Does anyone have a crafty question for us?

Angie our recipient is not really asking for birthday cards..she's going through a cancer diagnosis and would like some cheer....Unfortunately when someone has a health issue especially cancer not everyone is there to support you. I remember when my mom was sick and she made a comment about some friends or others just writing her off. Not everyone has relatives or friends who are super supportive. It made me sort of sad that Traci had to ask others on a Facebook site for cards. So I hope that fellow cardmakers will really rally around and send her some cards.

Sabrina is our hostess for WT761 and she has us using both rough and smooth on our card.

I am very curious to hear what is your favorite way to add SMOOTH and what is your favorite way to add ROUGH on a card?

For me Glossy Accents is my all time favorite way to add texture. Wow do I love to run my fingers over something highlighted with glossy accents.

For rough, I fell in love with Glitz Glitter Gel. This stuff allows you to add glitter to a project without leaving glitter in your craft room for years!

I linked a card to Sabrina's challenge showing both textures if you are curious.

Oh! I like the MIX this week. We are to "confine" our art!

I decided not to try writing my favourite rough and smooth on my phone this morning. I've always loved Glossy Accents or similar for smooth, one of my very first purchases was the Plaid Dimensional Magic or whatever it was called, which was the same thing. On paper buttons it gives such a great finish! But I've got to say, I do love the faux glass tutorial I featured. I see a couple of butterflies in the Technique Spotlight gallery for it, I must try that. And I'm wanting to revisit cracked glass as it's ages since I've done it.
For rough, I like sandpaper on beach cards, microbeads and Prills. Your glitter gel sounds really interesting and is a brand I've not heard of before, I should look it up. I noticed, because I was using it today, that my paste paper pieces have a slightly rough feel to them.

Sabrina, I just about wrote that I have only used the Cracked Glass technique once but when I went to look in the gallery it was actually twice! I only remembered Ivy and Butterfliesas it was my first and in my opinion prettier than the second time. This was way back when I was a fairly new stamper.

I agree, I enjoy adding beads for texture especially in the center of flowers. I like glass bead texture gel too.
