Wow! That is awesome Stacy and Misti! So fun to get things done ahead of time. I haven't started on DTGD yet. I was hoping to get to Monday's card today but I ended up cleaning instead. It needed it and I feel good getting a lot of tidying done.

I rearranged things in the utility room where Little Bit's bed is. She is aging and she loves her high places. The utility room is way too tiny for steps so I moved her bed lower. I don't think she was thrilled with me but she seems to be going to her bed so I think I won!

I'm away from home dog-sitting, so no crafting. But I've written three letters to mail when I get home tomorrow (longhand, because there's no printer here) and done an initial cull of holiday photos so that I can start trying to get some edited and uploaded.

I remember when my cat was hit by a car and had her back leg in plaster. She still insisted on sleeping on my bed, so we had to make a way up for her. I hope Little Bit adapts to her lower perch.

They do a really good job in the kitchen, but right now their training plan is nuts. Plus the heat index has been really high that it zaps their energy. I’ve been trying to take care of dinner so they eat & don’t just crash into bed.

I tend to let chores slide on super crazy weeks. This week I won't be asking Elisabeth for much since opening night of Wizard of Oz is Thursday night and last week I didn't ask her anything because half the week she was gone from 9am to 10 pm rehearsing and the other 9 to 5.
But I also didn't bail her out of doing her own laundry because I feel like that is real world experience. I DID cook for her though! She was able to catch up on Saturday with the laundry.

I am still working on current deadlines but I hope to work on DTGD samples next week.
It's show week at our house so I can't seem to settle very well even though for the first I am not needed as chauffer! There are still things to do and I guess I have a little nervous energy.

And here's Karen's Masked Stencilling TLC: TLC753~ Masked Stencilling ~ {07/29/19} - Splitcoaststampers

I've snuck upstairs to make a super-quick card before catching up on all the housework and dealing with a couple of problems I caused myself over the weekend. Wherever my brain was on Friday, it was not focussed on packing properly.

Phew! It's been a wild ride at my house. Last week we didn't make it to bed until 3am every night due to my daughter performing in her last high school play. By the end of the week I ran out of steam!

All of the challenges look fabulous! I want to play in all of them! I am on a team with Jeanne so I really want to celebrate her with a CASE but I have had 0 time. I hope today is the day!

So here are a few questions to start our week!

How many of you knew what a Needle Minder was before the IC went live?
I did NOT! They are sooo cute!

If you had/have time to create a card CASEing Jeanne, what aspect of her style do you think you would want to use on your card?

I want to splash some acrylic paint on colored cardstock for the background!

For Misti's challenge what would you do, create a card using water or create a card with a water image?

Hmmm.....I am not sure. Maybe both!

For the Masked Stenciling challenge, does a stencil pop into your mind you would like to use?

I am thinking of a stencil by Picket Fence Studios that I haven't used yet.

How about you? Any of the questions spark your interest?

I love the needle minders and if someone doesn't know what they are, here's an explanation. You have the pretty button looking top and a magnet is attached to it and then you have another magnet. The pretty part, of course, goes on top of your canvas and the other magnet on bottom so it hold to your canvas. When ready to take a break, just place your needle on the magnet so it doesn't get lost. Some people use hoops as I have, at times, but with my needlepoint pieces I used frames with scrolls. The needle minders work with either. Or, you could just use the pretty part as a magnet, maybe on the fridge....haven't tried it. So cute and handy.

Would love to play today in either challenge but no time. Mondays are so busy for me...and it seems every other day. They look like such fun. I love watercolor and stencils. Sunday challenges really seem to be out for me as I am at church twice that day and usually into favorites the rest of the day. I just need to get more organized and do challenges more than I am. With hubby's surgery coming up and running back and forth to doctors, it is getting harder for a while to craft. But, maybe after that, I can get in a groove and do more.

Angie, you sure use some cute, cute Picket Fence stamps. And, do the cutest cards with them. I must get over there and check them out again.

Another day gone haywire. We had thunderstorms passing through and I was literally wringing wet by the time I got to the bus stop after work. Home and into bed to warm up and dry out. Then the physio rang to cancel - but that worked out. The signalling was out on our train line after a lightning strike so I had to drive in to collect DH from the tram in town. And I've just remembered to come back and follow up on your questions from yesterday, Angie...I was about to shut down.

I've done a lot of cross-stitch, crewel, needlepoint and embroidery and I had never heard of needle minders. What a great idea!

I like Jeanne's fun painty backgrounds.

I would have chosen to create a card with a water image - but probably using water too. A stamp has come to mind that I'll put on my desk to use soon.

I did immediately think of a stencil for the TLC yesterday - but, ha, mostly because it arrived in the post that morning. It's the one I used - but I think I wasted my time cutting a deckle-edged mask because the lace stencil was too open for the deckle really to be evident. I think I'll try another stencil and work this into my sample for next week's TLC too . Whenever I get time - work is busy busy.

Cycling is a sport...so I think bicycles should count even if they're not racing bikes . I was hoping to make a card with a new bicycle die, bit a five-day week with long days hasn't left me a lot of energy.

Do you have a favorite umbrella stamp or die?

Who is ready to play in the Dare to get Dirty challenges tomorrow? If you don't know what DTGD head HERE. There is info on how to play and a chat thread!

I’ve been checking every few min for the new challenge to be posted. I looked at the date in the title & thought someone must have been going through the past challenges because it’s 02/02.

Now, I’m going to go read the challenge.

I have several favourite umbrella stamps - and at least three umbrellas bought in my favourite umbrella shop in Paris. I used one of the stamps for an upcoming challenge . I had enough rain to do me for a year on Tuesday - no umbrella would have been any use in that downpour.
