Sabrina that wreath is seriously amazing.

I cannot even imagine the time that took to do all those bits and pieces .

The TLC is stacked stencils: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/f...D-t627616.html and Judy's sample is super-cute. Overtime and housework mean I probably won't get to it till this evening.

Stacy, I can often get a lot of knitting done in work , except on overtime days when I'm helping in the lab when I'm not actually tasting. I got quite a bit done when we had our houseguest in November, but slowed down in December because work was busy and I was doing a lot of overtime. Now it's back to a nearly-finished cardigan.

I checked out the TLC. Wow, Cool technique. I watched Dina's video and had one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments. I have had my stencil slip more than once. I love how she used the MISTI. I love the idea of taping the next stencil on top of the first one.

I really need more stencils. How about you? Are you a stencil collector?

I am playing along with the CAS challenge today. I saw the challenge last night.

I've collected quite a few stencils so definitely don't need anymore. What I do need to do is use them more!!!

I got my card for the CAS challenge posted but have to go out for the rest of the day so may not get one done for TLC till later in the week.

I don't think there's such a thing as too many stencils! And then it seems like I still can't find just what I want! I am helping my demo friend at next class so i may teach some stenciling techniques. She is having knee surgery on the 22nd and won't be able to get up and down a lot. She will still be in the rehab portion of her recovery.

Good morning...almost noon...friends!

The challenges look fun today. I have just a few stencils, because initially I wasn't a fan. But I have since grown to love them for making backgrounds. In fact, that's how I see many of my new toys...backgrounds! I just need to splurge a day or two dedicated towards them.

The plastic sleeves that come with SU dies are a bit obnoxious to me. I now put the dies on magnet sheets. I have saved the plastic sleeves, hoping to make some of my own stencils using the dies themselves. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Story of a crafter's life! LOL

I have a physical therapy appointment this afternoon. I should have plenty of time to stamp afterwards, if my therapist doesn't work me too hard!

Catchya later!

A bad headcold here, so no TLC . Maybe tomorrow if the meds have helped. I went to bed early and cut out some masks for a card I want to make.

I hope you feel better Sabrina!

I created a background with the stencil technique! It's sooo pretty! Now what to do with it? It was really fun to create too!

Well, I haven't stamped today. Instead, I am digging into an organization mini-project.

Weeding my inks down to just 60 colors.

I have TWO SU caddies completely full, and one has the extension. Plus a few new inks that don't fit. I got a Stamp-n-Storage unit that holds 60, and I am DETERMINED to make it work.

I have kept almost every ink pad over the years. Some are easy to part with because I haven't used them for a long time. (Dusty Durango...blech.) And I can get rid of glorious green and replace with the newer emerald envy. But others are on the fence. Pistachio pudding may go, it's bland to me...but I still have a bunch of dsp that goes with it. I should either crank out a bunch of simple sketch cards, or get rid of the dsp too.

It's. So. Hard! But I really need to regain some space and make my room more user friendly. I'm sure I'll be happy when I do. Just a bit of separation anxiety!

Speaking of color...I am awaiting the color challenge for this week. Apparently, I'm obsessed with color.

Good for you, Kim, tackling organization and clearing out supplies you no longer like or use. I really really need to do that but every time I think I'll start, I get an idea for a card so start creating instead of clearing!

I still have no space heater in my attic so it's too cold to spend a lot of time up here. I messed up one card for the IC, and pulled another one together from scraps on my desk. I'd like to make the first idea, maybe using ink instead of paint in the stencil. I don't know why the paint smeared so much, I know I've had great success with texture paste in that one. But it will wait till tomorrow, I'm done up here for the day.

At least the cold is making it easier for me to focus on trying to finish a knitting project - I've been working on a woodland wreath since we had our houseguest back in November, and I just have the last flowers to add to it tonight to finish it off.

Nearly finished: it still has two types of flowers to sew on, and I'm trying to work out how to "add a bird to it" - I made a blackbird this afternoon.

Stay safe, everyone in the snow zone.
Oh! I saw this pattern years ago..and begged my mother to make it for me. haha..she of course said I should learn to do it myself! haha.

LOVE it!

I laughed Dawn... that sounds just like my MIL...

( I do not knit and after an old wrist injury years ago, I no longer cross stitch or crochet stamping was a body weight thing for me before the misti, line it up and put some weight on it...)

Ooh ME I need more stencils, (ones with bigger holes/windows) I am drawn to tiny texture ones so, that is what I mostly have and it was a challenge to find one with big enough holes to play tonight.

I agree with you Stacy, I need a lot more stencils. I only have a handful. It was a challenge for me to find two that would work together. I still have to figure out what image I want to use with it so maybe it will show up in the gallery at a later time.

I tried to delete..but it's not available. I'm sorry! So embarrassing because I can not change to my regular login with out being suspicious! You will have to wait about 12 hours. I think.

Okay, I'll have to dream up an idea for the color or tea pot challenge. Chat with you all on the flip side!

Woohoo - I'm thrilled to see both Dawn and Ann in the DD! Off to check out the gallery.
I've been absent from challenges for days. Friday I had my stamp club here and Thurs I was prepping for it. Saturday I had a family dinner here for our daughter's birthday. Sunday I was recovering from that, haha! I finally made a card for the Teapot challenge today but am unhappy with it so going to rework it before mailing tomorrow.

Kim, I agree! I enjoy the challenges that come along with being a Fan Club member!

So have you all noticed the LIKE button is working again! Woohoo!!!

Claudia, it sounds like you had fun events last weekend. It does take a little recovery time.

So who has bounced back after the holidays and are in full crafting mode once again?

I confess that I struggle in January. I posted on my FB page yesterday that January is to the year what Monday is to the week. I feel like I have experienced 16 Mondays in a row so far! LOL My husband came home yesterday and told me to take a nap and I have to say that seemed to clear the fog a bit but I am still in turtle mode today.

HUGE CONGRATS TO ANN AND DAWN for being our newest Dirty Girls!

That was weird because it worked from my notification email. But I was kinda glad because of the problem I had recently with a TLC challenge notification, which was fine when I posted it but apparently nobody could open it. Nice that it wasn't just me!

The cold attic is a problem for me right now but I'm happy with January...got my quota of Christmas cards made for the month, made a couple of just for fun cards and got on top of challenge samples, plus fitted in a few daily challenges. Spent last night trying something for a TLC and then spent this afternoon working on the metric measurements for it. Which will do nicely for my BIL; I gave up sending him cards a few years ago but since he's 60 next week DH wants to send him one.

And my wreath is finished, complete with blackbird .

I really like the sketch; hope to play later today.

My ink downsizing is so hard! I was certain I'd keep particular colors, but then I would see a gap in my spectrum. No wonder I have kept all of these for so long! I have 110 SU pads, plus versamark, some metallics, some versafine...a few distress inks, but they are the tiny ones.

To cut from 110 SU to 60. What was I thinking?? LOL

Hard as it is, I'm getting close to the final cut. It's like the Ink version of American Idol around here.

Perhaps I should ask for votes from the audience!

Oh, Kim, you should!!! Post us the colors and we will vote on who should stay! We might not be terribly helpful but it would certainly be entertaining!

Sabrina is our hostess for WT723! She has us ACTING on our Goal setting! I am pretty sure I listed a crafty goal recently not sure if it was here or somewhere else online but I can't remember what I said.

What Crafty goal will you use or would use if you had time?
