An ocean, an ocean, an ocean. I do love to be beside the seaside. Actually, I received a little die from Sonja and I'm hoping to make an ocean card with it tomorrow when I have the day off. And I'm in the midst of a dolphin one too - the backgrounds I had weren't working, but I think a leftover coffee filter from my Saturday session of coffee filter backgrounds will work.

I'd rather create a galaxy card as they are more useful for backgrounds for my many Christmas cards. And I don't have many stamps for an ocean theme.

Here is the link to the Sketch Challenge. Lots of fun cards in the gallery.

Have you ever zentangled? Do you like it?

I have zentangled. I love looking at it. I am too impulsive to actually love doing it. I think it's relaxing but I am always disappointed in my attempts. I am not sure if there is a wiring issue between my brain and my hands but I can't seem to work slowly enough.

PS the question has nothing to do with the challenge!

I've never zentangled and don't even like it much - so probably never will try it! But I admire those who can do it!

Cool

I've tried it when required for challenges, but it's not my thing. I don't have the patience. I can relax other ways.

The MIX is going to make us laugh this week!

The F4A is going to have us looking up!

I always love to know if you have created a card for a challenge, but this week I really want to know if you do the MIX!

Don't forget that VSN starts today at 4pm EST!

Yes, I did some paper-casting, and went back to when I featured it as a TLC four years ago for a refresher and some inspiration. I see that you enjoyed it back then too!

MIX374 Imagine... by Cook22 - at Splitcoaststampers

I forgot about the shorter than normal time difference between me and the States, so I didn't realise that VSN was in a time I could actually have played the first challenge live. I was needle-felting and DH was working on a paracord watchstrap while we listened to a podcast. At least we spring forward this weekend so I'll be back to the normal time difference between us. I always find it very confusing when I'm out of sync.

I'm not doing the MIX challenge - my imagination isn't up to it!

But I did do a card for the F4A as I had an idea for it and a new product I wanted to use.

Looking forward to VSN!

Sabrina, your card made me laugh!

Just a note about VSN, we have all week to upload! Check the challenges for exact ending time for uploading!

I forgot to pop over here yesterday. It was such a busy day. But I hosted a challenge. The challenges are open to everyone. Maybe you would like to stop by and play in a few.
Here is my challenge!

Also, let's celebrate Betty aka gabbygal as this week's Featured Stamper! Woohoo! Betty has a beautiful gallery filled with card insides and outsides! Betty leaves the best comments in the galleries too! Congratulations Betty!

The Teapot Challenge destination is one another! The Challenge combines two of my loves: cardmaking and reading!

What was the last book you read?

One of the last ones I read was called Year One. It was a fictional book about a virus being spread all over the world. I read it before I went to bed at night. In the story, the world became such a dark and hideos place that I was waking up depressed the next morning. Half way through I quit reading it. Ironic! I can't wake up from this one but thankfully people are still showing plenty of goodness and kindness.  And hopefully this won't last too long!

I just finished reading The Silent Patient. A good read about a woman who never says another word after she's found with her husband's murdered body and the psychiatrist who tries to get her to talk. It has a great ending. It was the NYT bestseller list for quite a long time.

The last book I read was Christopher Fowler's The Lonely Room, currently the last in his Bryant and May series but he's promised another book even though this one ended with one of the detectives being shot. They wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoy them. Quirky. They're probably the English equivalent to Fred Vargas' Adamsberg series, which I also love.

Next up is Shadowplay by Joseph O'Connor. There were 37 holds on it in the library when I reserved it mid-February, so I was quite surprised to get a note saying it was ready to collect - I got in the day before the libraries were closed.

Yes, the last Tuesday in each month is when the Teapotters send to each other, but we're always looking for suggestions where to send our cards the other three (or four, as it might be) weeks...big celebrations, a little cheer, comfort, support, encouragement...you can find out how to suggest someone (they don't have to be on SCS) here: REQUEST A TEA PARTY HERE - 2020 UPDATE - Splitcoaststampers

Ooops! It looks like I didn't get the Ways to Use it posted yesterday.

For me, I am busier than ever and I find that I am more distracted than ever. I head over to a site to do my usual routine but I get sidetracked by something or someone.

Up next I will post Thursday and Friday challenges and maybe a question!

Ways To Use It - Getting knotty

Free 4 All - Beach Fun

MIX - DIY Blue Print Plans - also MariLynn is encouraging us to comment on the thread and let one another know how we are doing!

My question is:  In the past two weeks have you participated in more challenges or less?

More - because of VSN. I have done a couple of cards for VSN, one for Ways to Use It, and want to get 2 more done for VSN before it ends tomorrow. I'm also behind with getting my monthly quota done for the Christmas Card Challenge - still need a few for March.

And I have to finish a couple of cards for challenges I'm Guest Designing for out in blogland! So busy!

Less? It feels like less, but it's could be about the same. It's definitely not more, I'm sure of that. I often have challenge samples made ahead of time.

I really enjoyed MariLynn's challenge today, as I've always been drawn to the TH blueprint stamps.

Like Susan, I'm behind on Christmas. I'll try to knock out four each of two designs and that will catch me up.

More b/c of VSN. But my usual early morning time is all I get for making the daily challenge card. Then it’s go, go, go!

Me too...there has not been a dull moment yet! The littles have been playing so well together the last few weeks.
Isn't that a blessing! There were 5 in my family, an older half-brother and sister, and then the three of us with just 16 months between us. We definitely used to squabble and fight normally, but my mother always said that any time it really mattered, like when she was laid up with pneumonia or pleurisy which happened occasionally, we always played together well and let her rest in bed.

I've never come across this stamper either. I love her stuff and have already chosen something I want to CASE tomorrow. Too close to bedtime to start now or I'll never stop and then I won't get to bed until way too late!

I could get used to being home on Monday morning to get the housework done! Sneaking in quickly -

The CAS challenge from Lee is babies - human or animal: CAS580 Baby Mine

The TLC challenge from Jean is the recent adhesive resist tutorial: TLC789~Adhesive Resist~04/06/2020

I presume Lee meant "my baby", but I couldn't helping reading it as a mine for babies like a diamond mine, LOL.
