The new catalog will be online June 21st on stampinup.com... (EDITED: SU has reversed their decision and the catalog will now be available online July 1st)

Will this affect when the actual paper catalog is coming?? I would rather look at the real catalog than see images on line. I want the catalog first in other words.....when is it coming???
No effect on the paper catty! It will still be on the same schedule.
They are doing this to ease the load on the Demo order site. If we are all looking in the catty, it is to hard for the Demo's to be ordering our goodies!

Well I will tell you that ME as a demo am not happy about it!! My customers love it when I "unveil" the catty to them on July 1st! I know many other demo's not happy about it because it sort of puts a damper on our "New Catty Open Houses" and ruins the "suprise" of it.
I will not look online at all.....I love when the new catalog comes out and I go to my demo's house. However, when the mini catalogs come out I want to see those immediately on line........ don't know why there is the difference, probably because the annual uneveiling of the new catalog is such an event for us!!!

I guess that you could change the date of your party from the 1st to the 21st.
This would seem to work, then it won't steal anyones thunder. As much as people love SU, it wouldn't matter when or who shows them the new stuff they just want it no matter what! :-D
We were having our 1st monthly stamp club party on the 25th anyway since this is around the time the retired accessories list is out so it will just be a retired accessories party and new catty party all in one for DOUBLE THE FUN! Can't wait! I am so happy I have something so exciting to look forward to!

I agree with having the actual book in my hands. (And I used to love the Sears catty when I was a kid, too!!)
I don't know. I love SU!, but I'd be surprised if the site doesn't crash on 6/21. They've got a hard enough time with all the demos hitting the site on special days; I wonder if they'll be able to handle 1000's of customers AND demos hitting it all at once...
Whooohooo!!! New catalog sooner!!! I will be peeking, but my true enjoyment will be getting that catalog in my hands, sitting by the pool while my kids are swimming and making out my 10 page wishlist!!!
Now that is my kind of summer day!!!!

Oh, IKWYM! Just to hold it in my bare hands and get lost in it to realize it is way past supper time and the kids are looking at me wondering why I have a glazed look on my face.
I also will go to my demos for the catty open house because she has the most awesome craft room and goodies! Plus that way I can fill out my order form in advance!!!:grin:

I still like the hard copy catty better, but I'm totally not waiting for it to check things out - that's just plain crazy talk!
Oh, I agree looking at the new catty on-line is not the best, but I am leaving June 23 for 7 weeks with no access to a computer and a demo that is slow to send me the new catty. So, I am thrilled to get a peak before I leave. Now the only problem is when I should be packing I will be glued to the computer.

I too am mixed . . . now I will have to display some sort of restraint so that I can enjoy it cozied up on the couch instead of sneaking and ruining the experience by seeing it online . . . must keep myself busy . . . . .might have to stay away from SCS too, ya know there are going to be endless threads about all the cool new stuff.

I'll be lucky if I get the new catalog in my hands by mid August...
My demo doesn't do a New Catalog party, and getting it to her customers isn't a high priority to her...
So, I will be snuggling up with my lap top for the next couple of months, until I get the real thing...
I would definitely have to find a demo who did give a high priority to the new catalog.....or find a demo who would sell me one right away. That is crazy, waiting until August! I would never make it!
I'm just glad there will be an overlap of information! There are a few sets I'm considering getting off the retired list, but really wanted to see what's new first. This is perfect!
lets all try not to crash Su's computer system now on the 21st.omg if we all crash the computer we won't get are last minutes orders in by the end of June.and that won't be so much fun if we all miss out on are last minutes purchases for those retiring sets that we all want at the end of the month.
Lets hope this doesn't effect that in any way.
I too can't wait to see the new caddy I might have to take a peek at it.But I love nothing better than to sit with my catalog and drool over it.

It's someone who buys stamps they didn't normally like at first,only to see it in Split Coast Stampers gallery in a different perspective.
You all sound like a bunch of junkies anticipating their next 'fix'! LOL Maybe there's some subtle perfume (possibly a hint of rubber ...???) added to the catalog pages to keep us hooked, d'ya think?!! A few days ago DH saw me looking through a SU catty from 3 years ago, noticed the "2003/2004" on the cover and just shook his head in disbelief. He said: "You wouldn't read a newspaper that was that old, would you?" Oh dear, he just doesn't get it, does he ...???!!!
