Default Card sizes

With all the amazingly beautiful cards in the gallery I was wondering what size you usually make your cards in?

Some of the cards have so many layers/textures I didn't know if they are larger cards or not.

Most of the cards that I make are 4 1/4" X 5 3/4" Regular A2 size.
Sometime I made Long Cards 4 1/8" X 9"

I have stopped thinking about it - especially if I have one that I am "sort of" following directions for.... they never turn out quite what the directions say they should. Whatever comes out in the end I am happy with

I usually make a 1/4 size card, 5.5 x 4.25. This allows me to cut my card stock pieces ahead of time, letting me make cards in a hurry when needed. I file the pre-cut pieces by color family.

Also if I pull out one of my background stamps, I make sure to do a few more (4-6) with whatever ink is left on the stamp before I clean it up. I file them away for later - another time & money saver.

I know what you mean!! It would be nice if that was added into the recipies of the card in the gallery. With all the layers and embellishments I never make a 1/4 sheet card, unless it's very simple and used small stamps!

There was another thread on card sizes recently. Check it out here:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...d.php?t=208962

My current size that I have been using alot is 3 1/2 x 6 1/4 (fits in a small business envelope.) I've made some fun stuff with that size and the envies are cheap so that's a plus!

My second favorite is 4 1/4 x 6 1/4. The only problem with these is that all of have is 100 banana envies for them so I'm limited to color combos. I'm fine with banana but Momma doesn't like yellows so I don't tend to make as many of these as I would like to.

I also like square card size - whatever the size of envy is that SU sells...5 1/4 x 5 1/4?

Of course you can never go wrong with the regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Most cards that I make are made in that size.

I generally stick w/ the standard A2 size (4.25 x 5.5) b/c it's the most convenient (half a sheet of CS and I have a ton of the right envelopes).

Every once in a while I'll do other sizes just for fun

Me too! I buy A2 envies in boxes of 250 in white and 250 in Natural so I make mostly standard A2.
I also like tall boys 4 1/8 x 9. They fit in the business size envie (A10, I think). They are fun and envies are easy to buy in bulk for a good price.
I don't make a lot of squares because I just don't like that the USPS will not process them for 39 cents. I think that is a bummer to have to put extra postage just for the shape.

Thanks for the thread...I'll check it out later.

The color "YELLOW" rocks!!!!
I like it because it's bright and warm...And on cloudy days it seem to make it warm and sunny feeling.

I buy a lot of my A2 envelopes from Wal-mart.. I can purchase 60 for $2.69.
And sometime I purchase mine from Cailfornia paper company, Here is the link to their site.
