Default Card on page 23 of holiday mini

Upper left corner of page 23 of the holidsy mini is a card that uses the Top Note die for layering. The main image is on the die, then under it is the same shape in a different color, then under that layer is yet another layer. So since the die is one size, how is this layering effect achieved? I can figure out the bottom layer since only the top portion shows, but the second layer's edge shows around the entire top layer.

Did any of this make sense?????

If you cut on the dotted line of your top note punched vanilla layer, it goes nicely on the choc layer.

I don't have the mini in front of me, but if I remember correctly, I think the 2 bottom layers were just adjusted up higher---the mat doesn't show around the whole top note.
Hope this helps.

Actually, the main layer where the image was stamped was just a Top Note with the perforated border trimmed off. Only the green base layer was a plain Top Note shifted up about 1/8" higher than the rest.

Rather than cutting exactly down the middle of the perforations, stay more to the inside -- sometimes to the point of shaving off just the tiniest bit of that inner layer as you cut. Another trick, if you don't want to be that precise, is to use a sanding block to smooth the edges!
