Card Names

How do you come up with good card names? How do you know you aren't using a name that has already been used? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Just put on your thinking cap........and look at the cards that you have made and see if a name pop's out at you.

Jenn Balcer suggestioned putting your user name in the title and this way no one can duplicate your card name. Smart idea! Before I started doing it I named a card which I sent out to an SCS member for her birthday and she uploaded it yesterday using the same card name and today it's no longer in the database.

Rox, it's identical file names that get deleted, not card titles. No worries about duplicating those!

I'm not sure what you mean by files, how could her upload be the same file as mine? Her title was identical. Help me out here!

Edit: okay I saved the file the same name as she saved the file both being 'A Warm Hello' had I save it 'A Warm Hello by Rox' hers would still be here too, right?

The name that you see under the cards in the gallery is the "title." When you save a card to your computer, it has a name. If you transfer a batch of pics from your digital camera, let's say, they might have a generic name from the camera. Something like AA0001, or some common naming system that all cameras of that type might use.

If you don't change the name, the chances are somebody else is gonna have a picture that their camera named the same way. You need to change that name. Mine, for example, I name -- in my computer -- as "MSBZBestBlossoms1" or something like that. 75 other gals might have cards "titled" Best Blossoms 1, but none of them are gonna have that "MSBZ" in it.
