I have a Holiday Open House on Friday and Saturday this wekend at our LSS. I wanted to make some "Snowman Soup", but I can't find any candy canes! I know I complain about Christmas being in the stores way too early (it's not even Halloween!), but this year I really need it! So have any of you seen candy canes for sale anywhere yet? I haven't checked Wally's yet, that on my list for tomorrow.
I need them too! I have not seen anything, not even peppermint sticks. I did see some at Costco that were "skinny" peppermint sticks that were coated in chocolate for $7, I thought they would work or I am just going to use regular peppermint candies (little round ones) if I can't come up with something better. Maybe someone else can help us out!
I went through the same thing last year when I had a craft fair in early November. I looked everywhere and all I got was odd looks that I wanted candy canes that early!

I guess if I'm desperate, I'll do the same. It just won't be as cute though!

Same thing happened to me last year. I can't believe how much Christmas stuff is out in the stores and yet there are no candy canes! I was looking for them in October and early November last year and went to every store without luck.
Hobby Lobby has REAL candy canes? Just where do you think they would be located? I need small ones because I am doing my "Snowman Soup" in a sealed can.
I didn't see them at mine, but I may not have looked in the right place. hmmmmmmmm
I would have bet that Cracker Barrell had some too.
There are tons of online candy stores. I hope you find some.
Good luck!

Your post made me laugh, because I had the very same thoughts yesterday. I need Christmas Candy for all my projects preferable yesterday. However, I don't like all the Christmas decor going up in the stores quite yet. Such a dilemma
Hi check with your local walmart. They probably have the christmas candy in the back room just waiting for halloween to be over to set the christmas candy. If you call ahead and talk to a manager I am sure they will help you. I use to work for walmart and christmas came in around halloween.Linda
I checked Wally's (two locations), Mike's and Dollar Tree. Plus SaveMart (a grocery store). I guess I'll have to go back to Dollar Tree tomorrow and see if they finally put theirs out. Thanks for all your help!
Walgreens has them on the top shelf above the little bags of candy that are hanging. In fact, they have just about every brand I have ever heard of. HTH Mel 2
Bought some at Discount Drug Mart today. I had to ask them if they had any and they had them in the back. Manager was kind enough to get them for me. They are just starting to put the Christmas candy out.

Their Christmas candy is no longer in the backroom. It is out. Only 1 shelf of Halloween but a full display of Christmas candy. :( At least this is the case at the WM I shopped at today. Here I have not even bought my Halloween candy to pass out. Maybe I'll hand out marshmallow santas  .
