Calling all Albany, NY Area SU! Demonstrators !!!
Good morning,
I've been an SU! Demonstrator since June and have been on SCS since September. I keep reading how beneficial it is to get together with other Demonstrators to learn from each other and for supports.
WELL . . . I'm looking for SU! Demonstrators in the Albany, NY area that would like to get together for a fun afternoon of stamping and idea sharing !!! I was thinking that we could meet either once a month, every couple of months or even quarterly (whatever works best).
Let me know what you think !!!
Happy Stamping,
Myra

Calling all Albany, NY Area SU! Demonstrators !!!
YAY . . . I'm very excited about this !!!
Any other local demonstrators interested ?!? If the holiday season is too busy, we can all plan to get together in January !!!
The apartment complex that I live in has a great clubhouse that I use for my classes and also for some workshops, so we can have a nice sized get together there for all interested demonstrators !!!

There are some of us who just love the ideas - but are not SU demos. Could we join in too?

Hi everyone,
I haven't forgotten about this, but work has been insanely busy and I just haven't had the time to plan / organize a gathering !!!
I was thinking that we could plan something for April or May. The apartment complex that I live in has a clubhouse that I use for my classes and camps, so we could meet there. Maybe we can have a shoebox swap or a regular card front swap (I guess this all depends on the number of people that are interested).
Let me know if you are still interested !!! Please give me your e-mail address if you are interested so that it will be easier to organize.
Thanks,
Myra

Besides, with the weather so if-y lately, I would be happy to wait until spring.

Hi Myra,
I tried to send you a private message but I'm not sure if it went thru.
I'm definitely still in. I live in Delmar. I know of at least one demo in Albany & possibly one in Colonie who would be interested too.
Please send me your e-mail address. I'd like to send you their e-mails & keep in touch.
Thanks for doing this.

I am still interested as well. Shoe box swap sounds fun and/or a regular swap. Why not both?
I will pm you my eamil today.
Please don't plan it for April 30th. That is the RI regionals and I am planning on attending as long as I get registered before it sells out.

Both a shoebox swap and a regular swap sound like a great idea!!! If we all brought something new SU we could do a grab bag drawign thru out the day too...Just an idea!!! I can't wait!
PLEASE not 4/30.....I don't want to have to choose between this and regionals in RI!!!!

Don't worry, I already made a note for myself that 4/30 will NOT work !!!
I like the idea of both the shoebox and regular swap, but I guess it will all depend on how many people we have and any time constraints for the shoebox swap. I also want to make sure that everyone agrees with the final decisions. I like the grab bag idea too . . . I've never done something like that !!!

Let me know if you need help setting up or any other arrangements...
I know that when the others here on SCS have gotten together, they also did it so everyone also brought a dish/snack/beverage to share...I have watched those other posts closely cause I had started a post awhile ago but never got much interest in it cause it was around Christmas....then I got really sick so I let it go until it warmed up... LOL!!!
I can't wait this sounds like we can really live it up and have a blast!!

Thanks for the offer for help . . . I'll definitely let you know !!! That's a great idea about each person bringing some type of snack (hopefully we can keep it to healthy snacks because I just started Weight Watchers a couple of weeks ago and want to keep doing well - 4.8 pounds so far).

Thanks, I was really excited when I weighed in on Friday !!! I love veggie chips and I'm sure we can have some really yummy snacks that are healthy and that everyone will enjoy.
I don't have my list handy, but it looks like we have around 10 - 12 people so far (some people said they may bring their upline/downline and other demo friends). There is a demo that works in my office, but on a different floor. I'm going to contact her too to see if she would be interested in joining us !!!

I'm also interested! How many can your clubhouse hold? I've got lots of gals in my downline that might also be interested. I already see a few of them already posting their interest, but I have a lot more in the area.

This is great that there is so much interest !!!
The clubhouse can hold 30 people. There are 2 round tables and 1 folding table, but I also have a 6' folding table that I will bring. There are a couple of couches, a bunch of chairs and an area with a small fridge, sink and counter to set up the food at. It is a nice size, so if someone has another folding table, we can rearrange things a bit to fit that in as well.
Right now I'm counting about 17 people (some people had already mentioned that they would be bringing other demos, so I've counted them too), so you can definitely let your downlines know !!!

Hi ladies,
If you haven't already sent me your e-mail address, please do so because I would like to keep a master list and send out details via e-mail in the future.
If you are planning on bringing your upline / downline / another demo with you, please ask them to send me their info as well. This will make it easier for me to have an accurate head count !!!
Thanks again for participating !!!
Take care,
Myra

Thanks for your e-mail address. So, how many people do you have in your downline that would be attending? Who on this thread is part of your group? That is so cool that you have a nice local group to get together with !!!

Hi ladies,
I have a question for you all. One of my friends / customers will be moving to PA this summer / fall (she is getting married and her fiance bought the house) and she is thinking of becoming a demonstrator when she settles in out there. Would you mind if a potential recruit joined us for this get together?
Thanks,
Myra

Hi Barbara,
How much prior notice would you need if I wanted to attend your gathering as well? I don't have my April calendar set up yet and my MIL lives in Newburgh, so I may be able to join you, but I won't know until mid-late March !!! Can you please let me know the details as well? You're welcome to post them here or you can PM me the info. Thanks !!!

Hi again,
I just wanted to touch base with everyone !!! I put together a Word document with all of the information that I received and noticed that I'm missing some e-mail addresses and in some cases, don't know the demo's actual name. I would like to be able to contact people via e-mail, since I'm not sure how many people continue to follow the threads.
I wasn't sure if anyone had a problem with me posting their info, so I don't want to just attach the file. If you haven't already sent me your e-mail address, please do so because I really like to try to keep the information organized !!!
I was interested in knowing if Sunday, 5/22, would be a good day for everyone. I can contact the office to make sure the clubhouse is available. Also, how much time should we plan on spending (there are about 17 demos right now)? I can get the clubhouse from 12PM - 9PM, so please let me know what works best for you !!! :P
Thanks,
Myra
