Default Breast Cancer M & M's

Has anyone found these yet? I thought they would be to use for October workshops as door prizes along with stamped cards from the new Breast Cancer Awareness stamp set. I was at Walmart today and did not see them.

Special bags of M & Ms will be on sale in September, October and November, 2004. (the bags are clearly marked.) New Pink & White M&M's. The makers of M&M candies have teamed up with the Susan G.Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to raise funds through the sale of their new "pink & white" M&M candies. For each 8-ounce bag of the special candies sold, the makers of M&M (Masterfoods) will donate 50 cents to the foundation.

I have a great recipe for White Chocolate Chex Mix made with M&M's if you are interested...it would look really cute in a cello baggie with the new stamps on CS on the top!

Let me know if you would like to have it posted!

Darn, I keep getting logged off when I try to post! I'll try again:
Please forgive me for barging in on your thread, but I wanted to remind everyone that stores are now starting to stock the Yoplait yogurt with the pink foil tops. If you save your pink foil tops and mail them in to Yoplait, they will donate 10 cents for each and every one. It doesn't sound like much, but it adds up if we all do it!

I ordered mine last Friday and they shipped today. One pound pink and one pound white.

www.thecandycatalog.com

A 1lb bag (one color) is $6.25.

One pound is approx. 500 pieces.

With two pounds, and shipping, I spent under $20.

They ship the M&M's on ice. Anybody who has ordered a cheesecake (like from Williams-Sonoma) will know what I am talking about.

OK. Thanks alot. I'm off to the pantry for chocolate.

You can also get them at www.mms.com the M&M's web site. They are 2.99 for an 8oz. bag. The M&M's web site is fun to check out too!

Here you go!

White Chocolate Chex Mix

Cashews
Peanuts
Corn Chex
Rice Chex
Cheerios
M&M's(two bags)
Pretzel sticks
2 bags White Chocolate Chips OR that vanilla melty stuff you use for candy making

This was passed down from a family member...so it's not real exact..."a little of this, a little of that"

I use two big mixing bowls...one to make the mix dry in, and another to put the mix in half at a time and add the melted white chocolate chips. I just kind of eyeball the dry stuff...until it looks like it is "enough"
(if you have seen my previous posts, I am not one for measuring!)

Then melt your white chocolate chips in a double boiler one bag at a time on LOW...for some reason, they are harder to melt than regular chocolate chips....When it starts to get runny, mix in the second bowl with the dry mix(I mix with my hands)...Sprinkle it on wax paper to harden. Repeat with leftover dry mix and second bag of white chocolate chips.

It's quite a hit at parties and such!
Let me know if my directions were good enough! It's super easy to make!

Kelly: I make a very similar recipe for Christmas using red and green M&M's. I like your idea of using the pink ones in cello bags with the Hope Is set. I'm going to have to do that. The people in my office LOVE that stuff.

By the way, I usually melt my white chocolate in the microwave. I put the two pounds in a pyrex bowl and start at one minute, stir, and then go every 30 seconds and stir in between. Takes about 3 or 4 minutes all together.

This is a great idea! Kudos to Mars for making pink and white M&Ms. I will get them in my Oma's memory and use them for favors for the girls birthday.....
