Talking Black Friday - Woohoooo!!

Someone on SCS (I don't remember who) gave us a heads-up that Walmart were selling the Cricut for $119. That really got me going - I have always wanted one but felt it was too expensive. I showed my husband and he said: "If you really want it and want to join the rat race, I'll pay for it and that can be your Christmas present."That was enough for me - I was so excited that I could not sleep - sat making cards until 3:30a.m. when I decided it was time to head to Walmart. Of course I was in plenty of time so had great fun browsing around and chatting to all the other friendly customers. Got my Cricut with 2 cartridges included. I was in time for Michael's opening at 6a.m. and was able to get another cartridge 40% off and 2 Sizzix dies at 40% plus another 25% off!!!
I am now dead tired and ready for an early night tonight but really happy with my first Black Friday experience.

I was shocked about the crickets here. The first walmart I visited had almost a whole palat and the other one I visited around 1 p.m. still had a palat as well. I wasn't getting one was just curious if they were sold out or not.

I was able to get everything I needed at least, woohoo.

You will love it!! Welcome to the world of Cricuting!

I was at my Walmart at 4:20am this morning but not for the Cricut as I already own the regular and the big one. They sold about 5 this morning and went I went back tonight there were only 2 left!! I'm sure they will sell this weekend. That is just an unbelievable deal!

I'm with you Alanna, I wish we had Black Friday in Canada. Even on our own Thanksgiving we don't get these kind of deals.
Robin what did you find at Walmart at 4:20 am.????

Well, I staked out the pallets that I wanted and at 5am they take all the rope down. This year I got 4 Cabbage Patch kids, a Leap Pad, an Elmo Guitar, some Barbies, and Hot Wheels. I headed over to Target after that for another cart load of goodies, then from there went to Toys R Us where I waited in line for 1 1/2 hours for my goodies, then on to Bath & Body Works where I waited another hour in line. It was a good day and now I am ready for bed.

Also, I am now finished with all my kids' Christmas shopping and they are all wrapped! Now if I could just get my Christmas cards done.

Hi!
I was at Wal Mart around 1 pm and got a Cricut. I had tried Michael's and the ladies sort of gave that yeah right look about having more tomorrow. DH did offer to drive me to Joann's but it was too far and for $199 and no guarantee of having it in stock I passed. I was bummed about the Cricut but done in by the crowds and traffic. DH needed to stop at Wal Mart to pick up a new coffee maker and I was so shocked when I found over a dozen at Wal Mart. DH had said if I could find one I could have one, so now, after all this time I've got one. I picked up the Cricut machine, one tool (the spatula thing) and two other cartridges. Now I just have to figure out how to work it, LOL!!!
So if you're still in the market for a machine, they may still be at Wal Mart.

Am I the only one that knows about creativexpress.com and their cricut cart sale!? I'm trying to spread the good news, so here goes again:

http://www.creativexpress.com/shop/home.php?cat=2199

Their prices are better than any I've seen especially when you buy 4 or more. I bought four, they should be here next week!

Holy Carp Batman!!!!!!! I just bought 4 cartridges for $115 shipping included! That was a bargain! that brought them down to $27 each! The only better deal is when Joann's had Christmas Cheer on clearance over the summer for $19.99. Wow! Thanks for that heads up. Well, guess I just bought my christmas presents early.

Default Black Friday

So girls, I've heard Walmart, Michaels, Target are they all open all night long or 4 am. -what. And is anything else open? I don't suppose any small independant stores? Is this in the big cities only??? I don't know I've never been in the states on Black Friday.

Yes! That is an awesome deal for carts. I bought 4 of them a week ago with that special. They weren't all for me because I already own quite a few but one of them was. I would not pass that up if you don't have to.

Our Walmart was ridiculous. I was there at 4:30 am and still didn't get the one with 2 cartridges. They only had 20 and there as some idiot hitting people just to get one. I happened to grab one that wasn't on the black Friday sale and they still gave me the sale price. I didn't even have to ask for it. I didn't get the extra cartridge but I refuse to throw punches.

I got one yesterday (Christmas present) and I guess I need to check and see if it has the two cartridges - oh well, if not, it was still a good deal. Now I just need to be patient and wait to play.

I got one yesterday also. Our Walmarts had TONS of them. I got mine in the morning in Santa Maria, in the afternoon we went by the Walmart in Lompoc and they still had quite a few Cricuts left.
