I ordered the Angel stamp from Pansy Lane after seeing it on this thread. It came yesterday along with the Baby Shoes. I stayed up late to finish this.

OMG, Gina! Get crackin', girl! I'd love to see this as a whole line!

Oh, this whole thread takes me back! I can remember so many like this, like 10, 12 YEARS ago! Sad how things haven't improved nearly as much as they should have...

I was going to mention Mo's Digital Pencil site! She has wonderful ethnic children's images and she will take suggestions for new images.
She's only been designing digital stamps for a very short time, but she's posting new images daily!

I'm away from my stamps right now so can't give you a name, but being the baby card queen... I use a set from CTMH from just a few years back that has about 5 little babes, there's an Asian baby and an African American one. At the moment, so sorry, I can't remember what the name is.

ETA: Clever me, I was able to go to my blog and even found an entry, lol...all on one cup of coffee!!

I thought of a line called Sunshine and Giggles. If I remember correctly, the owner and her sister designed a line of rubber stamps with African American children. HTH!

My nephew belongs to a hip-hop dance troupe. Has anyone seen any stamps that would relate to a boy dancing hp-hop? I'm thinking it should have baggy clothes..

Has anyone mentioned:
DanDee Images,LLC, African American Rubber Art Stamps, Pergamano Crafts, scrapbooking, Paper Crafts or RubberNecker

I have a few chubby-cheeked kid stamps and I just change up the hair and skin tones using my Copics.

Bump! Most of the links in this thread are dead.

I'm looking for sassier images rather than real-life.

I want to make a card for my mail carrier. I'm getting back into crafting after a long hiatus and I've been ordering up a storm.

If your mail carrier is female, how about this gal from Unity's planner range: Planner Gal: Loving Life - Unity Stamp Company. There's an Indian looking one, too.

I've got both of those images from Unity. They're really cute. Since Unity Angie's Girls don't have features, you can use darker colors. I've done that with both Unity and Art Impressions stamps.

If you use digi images, LOTV has a couple of cute images, Digi Stamp - Coffee and Digi Stamp - Curls . The digi images are only available through Sept. 30 due to some EU rule changes though.

I agree-most of Unity's women can be made any race.

Mo Manning is still doing children of color-under Penny Black. She also has her own digital site.

Thanks, ladies. A digital stamp would actually probably be better because I can resize it. It needs to fit in the window of the mail truck.

I didn't see one that jumped out on Mo's site yet (although she has a TON and I haven't looked at every single one)

This weekend I bought some AA lady stamps at the StampScrapArtTour in Atlanta. I bought them from Pat Huntoon who owns Technique Junkies. Here is her link: TechniqueJunkies.com

I was impressed with the Technique Junkies images too.

That said, you don't feel obligated to have a white woman stamp whenever you make a card for a white woman. You want to work with the person's style, temperament, interests and hobbies. If you give a black (Asian, Hispanic, etc.) person a card with his or her race or ethnicity on the image, could it be misunderstood by the recipient that all you see in that person is his or her race? I make a lot of cards for African Americans, but it's rare that I use a racial image, since, for one thing, it's hard to find one that really suits the specific individual.

Please pardon me if I offended anyone.

I have 3 nieces that are adopted; 2 are African-American, ages 8 & 11 and 1 is American Samoan and is 16. When I make a card with a girl or angel image on it they love it if I color the image to look like them. Sometimes it takes a bit of creative altering to the hair to change the image but my sister tells me they always have big smiles and say things like "that angel looks just like me".

I want to make a USPS truck with her in it. So I really want it to look like her.

So far no luck.

Unfortunately, when it comes to African American stamp images it seems like 9 of 10 are head shots of a very attractive 20-ish woman (and perhaps throw in an Afro and hoop earrings). The best people images are ones that can be adapted to multiple races.

Maybe someone can come up with an image to suit a UPS driver. Or perhaps something involving a huge stack of packages?

Oh, BTW, I agree on the kid images. By all means, go for images that will look like the child receiving the card.

Not a card, so do feel free to ignore, but this 3D truck looked cute, and by using acetate or even vellum for the window, a face could be adhered to the inside. It could be a random enough face to not be the focal point yet look inspired by your mail carrier.

I didn’t watch the entire video, and don’t have many SU items, but it seems like it could be made non-SU too.

There are certainly many more options compared to almost 10 years ago!

If you search ETSY for "African American Women SVG" you can find some fun images that can be converted into digital stamps.
