Default Birthday Pennant Ideas

Hi there,

I'm thinking of making a Happy Birthday Pennant for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. We're having a prince & princess party, and all the kids are dressing up! Too cute! Anyway, it's next weekend, and I don't have the large SU alpha stamps OR the chipboard letters... So, I was wondering 2 things: 1) Have you made a cute banner, either happy birthday, or someone's name that you could share with me?
2) Any suggestions on another way to get those letters? I have the Letterpress Alpha, but I don't think it's big enough. I suppose I could go out and (gasp!) buy some chipboard alpha's at a scrapbook store! (Have I just answered my own question?)

Thanks ladies! Hoping for some great inspiration!

Default How about your computer?

I'm wondering if you could use your computer (Microsoft Word or other word processing program) to print out the large letters you are wanting, then cut them out. Or even a large stencil?

Good luck! Please post what you end up doing!

I made penants and banners in school with my first graders. I used foam shapes that were stickers. For the penant I cut a piece of craft foam in half (to make 2 triangles). I had boys/girls themed stickers. The kids had a ball and a great memory from first grade. Good luck!

Default You could...

buy those bigger size, inexpensive foam alphabets from Hobby Lobby. I used a set for a few name frames before I got "Headline Alpha." They worked good for the price. They cleaned up pretty well too with just the HL spray cleaner.
