I think it includes a card, and the battery tea light candle made up like a cake, is there anything else that comes with it? any pics? I want to make a whole bunch of them for my daughters friend for her birthday, as she loves to give stuff like that to others for their birthdays..any help would be wonderful ..thank you!

I don't know if this is the same thing you're looking for, but a while ago on pinterest I saw something called a party in a box. It included a crown (like the one you get from burger king), plates, confetti, sprinkels, etc. Hope this helps!

In my "birthday in a bag" I include a cake mix, can of prepared frosting, candles, spinkles, balloons and tinfoil cupcake baking cups.

The ones I made for a craft show were smaller. I saw the original here and I'm sorry I don't know the creator. I had the candle, a 3x3 card, balloon, and a couple of pieces of candy. I didn't make many but they all sold and everyone thought they were so cute! I put in a small cellophane bag with a topper.

Where do you purchase the little battery-operated tealights? What is the approximate cost? LOVE this idea for birthday bags!

I made some and they are on my blog scrapsy

I got my tea lights from Ebay, but I think Amazon do them too.

It's a great project, I really had fun making them!

I also love the idea of a bag including a cake mix too, very cool!!

Michael's sell the tea lights either singly or in a package of about 6, I think. The price is not too bad, but I can't quote it.

I was wondering if you have a template for that wonderful little box.

Nicole, I sent you a pm.

I don't have a template as I am technically challenged, but if anyone wants to know how to make the box, let me know. It's just basically a mini version of the exploding box.

When my daughter was in college, I found a pattern for cardstock boxes shaped like a piece of cake. The pattern had 10 (I think) pieces of "cake" that fit together to make one big cake. I filled each separate box with small gifts, like earrings, candy, etc. I mailed it to her with noisemakers, paper plates, party hats and a pan of Rice Krispie treats. She loved it! I don't have the pattern anymore, but someone else may have kept it. It was from Woman's Day or Family Circle back in 1985 or so.

There is a link to the template for this slice of cake box right here on SCS.

Default BD cake template

Dear Ldumont 999:

Thanks so much for finding this for me. It was such a cute project and I was sad that I could no longer find the pattern.

Glad I could help. I used this to build a "cake" full of favors for my dear dil's baby shower.

Using it for favors is a great idea. It could be the centerpiece for the food table, too. Very Clever of you
