Has anyone come up with a formula for the SU Bingo stamp. We are wanting to make game cards for our family Christmas's...we are just sure one of you stampin engineers have come up with a way to where every card doesn't have the same picture in the same place that wouldn't drive us crazy...now is this absolutely not clear?? haha...i can't seem to say what i need to say....HELP please!!! Sandi
Assuming there are 24 blanks and one free space (my catty isn't handy but that's a standard bingo card) and 24 different images, assign each image a number (1-24) and use a chart like the one below (hope it copies over well ... I only did a few but it should be enough to convey the idea):
Tee Gee thanks so much....we love it....going to make 8 per set so am wondering how you came up with this exactly.. did you use some type of random selector and if so, would you mind sharing the site...my friend now tells me she wants 16.....can you say greedy??? hahaha..thanks for any more help you can give us..thanks, sandi
I used Excel and (manually ... because I need to brush up on some skills) subsituted the first number and pasted the next four, typed in the fifth and repeated per column.
Check back later and I'll try to complete a few more and attach it as an Excel file (but will also cut and paste).
I'm pasting configurations for 25 cards and (hopefully) attaching an Excel spreadsheet that has 48 configurations. I included the 25th so you can see that the assignments start across instead of down.
Sorry it isn't too easy to read but I think the idea is conveyed.
one thing to be careful with though, is that if you keep all the numbers in order (rows and columns don't matter), you will get a lot of duplicate Bingo's when a given number comes up... it is better to randomize the images.
For example, in the previous post, card #2 has 2,3,4,5,6 in the first column, but card#21 has the same exact numbers in the second column... if those numbers all came up, BOTH people would get bingo simultaneously.
Also look at card #4 and card #5, the first row of #4 is exactly the same as the second row of #5.... Also, the first column of #1 is the same as the first row of #25.... most of these cards have duplicate rows/columns.
By randomizing the numbers (using no pattern whatsoever), you will get a better mixture of UNIQUE combination for Bingo.

I did consider that there is a lack of randomness but believe that in Bingo it is taken care of by the numbers having different letters attached (for example B1 vs. N1). Although I'll admit it has been decads since I played the game so my understanding may not be correct (in that there could be a B1 and also an N1.)
I'm sure there are formulas or programs to provide unique combinations but this was done simply (and fairly quickly) ina n Excel spreadsheet ... I think there are probably enough unique combinations for the OP to select 16 for her friend's cards.
My mother is a professional bingo player and dragged me along to many a game. The numbers for each letter only have a specific range, ie B: 1-15, I: 16-30, N: 31-45, G: 46-60, O: 61-75.
Tina you absolutely rock girl!!! thanks so much...sandi & connie
You're welcome ... please take into consideration the other comments made to be sure any specific configuration will work - at least among the cards you make for your friend.
