Default Best White Ink for black paper

I have tried several with minimal at best results. What do you think is the best white ink to use on colored paper?

Thanks

I did a tester on my blog a while back, here, and overall, I found that Versamark with White EP gave the best result. White Brilliance also worked quite well, with white EP, but I only have a few white pads- you may get better results from other inkpad users.
I've just remembered Tim Holtz Picket Fence works well on black- the marker pen has a brush nib you could use on stamps.

The best white ink I've found is the little Studio G cubes from Michaels if you don't want to use embossing powder. I've tried a lot of others that were supposed to be "better quality", but were just more expensive and I ended up tossing those in the garbage.

Non-embossing answer:

I have tried every white ink know to Modern Man and the best by far is Wplus9 white pigment ink. There is a thread here somewhere on SCS about this ink and lots of stampers are lovin' it! Absolutely gorgeous coverage on all colors of cardstock. You will NOT be disappointed !

From Wplus9. (Not sure who the manufacturer for them is, though.)

White Pigment Ink - WPlus9 Design Studio, LLC

They're out of stock there, though, and I don't know if there is anyone else who carries it. Maybe someone else will see this and let you know.

Here is the SCS thread about the WPlus9 white ink:

In the above thread Katrina posted the following stated:

I bought this white ink too, but it's identical to the Memories white ink pad, both made by Stewart Superior. So now I have two white ink pads/refills that work exactly the same. Anyone want to buy 1 set?". __________________

I don't personally know about the WPlus9 vs. Stewart Superior, but Katrina might be able to help you out re: these two inks.

I bought mine from WPlus9 (the pad and reinkers) back in Feb. 2013.

The WPlus9 site does currently show out of stock as Emily mentions above.

TheWPlus9 site has an option for you to be notified when 'back in stock' and their FAQ says restocking is usually 2-3 weeks. They also have a list of retailers that sell the products so I checked three of the online resources (Ellen Hutson, Eclectic Paperie, and Simon Says Stamps) and I saw the WPlus9 dies and stamps, but I didn't see the ink on those sites....

HTH.

I've just noticed that my Palette ink pads are made by Stewart Superior. I know I have the black and the brown ... now y'all are causing me to look around here to see if I have white! Enablers ... all of us!

Memories "Unicorn" pigment inkpad is also a good one! Haven't tried the WPlus9 ink yet.

Thanks for all this information! I don't own a white ink pad but now I think I found another must have! For writing- I like a dip pen and copic opaque white. So far the best for writing on black. I sometimes have to dip my fingers in water and thin it just a bit then it writes like a dream. I don't water down the whole jar but pour a bit in a cup and sort of drip a few drops in there.

Off-topic, but I love your tagline - how true

I also agree with many earlier posters - Versamark with White Embossing powder is the best and most crisp!

There are links posted in that thread to examples. This one is by a non-DT stamper and shows a gorgeous intricate stamp with the ink. Embossing probably wouldn't have been delicate enough. Has sold me on the ink.

Color Box Frost White works really well and I also like PTI's Cream pigment ink (for an off white).
