Hmmm, when I called (two different times last week), they told me that I would get mine Monday (tomorrow) or Tuesday this week. But nothing has changed with the tracking.I know that 'my' distribution center is out of Dallas. I wonder if that makes a difference. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone that had it backordered actually got it yet.
I'm also in Texas. When I ordered, on January 16, they told me that backorders are normally received in 5-7 days. I even told them about needing it in time for the rebate for January 31. They still said, "No problem". Well, today, Sunday, January 23, when I called to check the status, they told me they were expecting a shipment on Friday, January 29, and THEN they would be shipped to me. Wouldn't it practically take a miracle for me to receive them in one day AND post mark my rebate in the same day? Also, my UPS man normally comes VERY LATE, even after the post office is closed. :(
I'm in Denton, TX and ordered mine 1-15. They also told me 5-7 days on my b/o. So far I haven't seen them. I am hoping tomorrow they will come. Will let y'all know if the do.

The guy in brown just delivered mine--yippee! And the Viking packing slip didn't show my $20 rebate so I called them and they added it so it's down to $36.....if I get the rebate in the mail tomorrow, I'll be a happy girl!

When did you order them? I just called and he told me he didn't know when I would get them. I see you're in IL and I'm just a little further North in WI, so they probably come from the same distribution warehouse.
Okay, but wouldn't it be by order date, not by date of receipt? I mean, the original order date should be on the packing slip. Right now it won't even let me order them. The price shows $56 with the right code, but it won't let me order. :(

It should let you order them with a backorder status. I had to do an extra step to get them in my cart.
The rebate has to be postmarked by 1-31-05 in order to eligible.
Try again! I haven't been able to get it to order mine like forever now, and it finally went through! I won't get the rebate, but the 37 bucks isn't bad either! That is an awesome deal on them! Try again. Make sure you are using DZ2-PRD20 and QL2-3602

I ordered mine on 1/16 and they were backordered at that time. I never got another notice that they were in or being shipped--they just showed up on my doorstep!

My friend took her envelope to work and ran it through their postage meter with todays date on it. She will wait to get the receipt in to send in the rebate. Do you think that will work?
possibly, though when i worked at a pre-sort company, if we got an envelope like that, we reran a postage sticker for zero cents but with the right date. we were told that the post office wouldn't let mail go through if the date was expired. but who knows now. plus, if that is still thte case, it could still manage to slip on through. personally i've mailed 4 things lately that NEVER got where they were going. and one that was postmarked dec 30th and received on jan 12th. i could have walked it there by then. summarily, i am saying i find our postal system a mystery.
