I have found myself using background stamps on almost every project that I do. The only problem is I only have Paisley, Canvas, Dotted (from Stampin' Up!) so what are your most favorite background stamps other than those?

I don't have any yet and plan to order some at my SAB workshop next week. From the things I've seen, I really like the print pattern. The three you have are also on my list so I will be interested to see what others have to say.
I've just ordered crosshatch for SAB and a whole bunch more from Cornish Heritage Farms. They have amazing backgrounds for $7ish (can't remember exactly) if you get them unmounted. Their quality and customer service are fabulous!

I am loving print pattern, ordering it this week. Also, I love linen, I do own canvas so far but plan to get linen as well. The other one I adore and own is french script.

I have those three and use them all the time too. Super cute! I also love Fine Lace and French Script. I don't have Linen yet, but I really want it!
From SU, I like Fine Lace and Cross Hatch the most. From TAC, I like Swirl and Beauty of a Woman a lot. I've ordered Aida from SU, and can't wait to see how it works out. I bought some bg stamps that were too small to cover the entire A2 size card, so I'd love to hear how Cornish Heritage Farms bg stamps work out, if they're big enough.
I hate to admit that I have 29 bg stamps and usually keep reaching for Canvas. I did fall in love with Flannel Plaid for my Christmas and winter cards.
Print Pattern and Linen is a must in my opinion. I didn't think I needed Linen AND Canvas, but once you see have them, you know why ;o) Totally different look on a card!
Linen and Print Pattern are by far the ones I use the most and I have about 12. I love the subtle look of Linen and how you can stamp it over a design you've already stamped.
Weathered, Floral, "Linen, Aida, and Canvas"....(I know, it sounds like overkill but trust me it isn't)... and French Script for sure. I love print pattern, but am drifting to the others lately.
I use my Print Pattern and Dots & Daisies (Spring 2006 Mini) all the time. Second to those are the Canvas, Weathered, and Linen. I am ordering French Script and Floral next.
You all kept mentioning Print Pattern and I kept thinking that one sounded familiar...I own it, but it got pushed up under my drawer. It's like getting a brand new stamp for free!!! I've been looking alot at Linen but was wondering if it was that different from Canvas, but I think you guys have helped make up my mind on that one. I think I also like Floral and French Script a lot too. Hmmm...maybe I will have enough for another SellABRation set! Thanks so much for the input! I really appreciate it!

I use canvas, print pattern most and have just ordered weathered - I was inspired by all the great things done. I also have fine lace. Non SU I have a swirly pattern, a bamboo (not quite big enough but I love it) and a french script by Stampabilities called Le London Script.
I only have 4 (one is retired) but I use them all. In order of favorites I guess I would say I like Print pattern, Flannel plaid, and weathered and Just Jeans (retired). I'm itching to add several more and like you I can't decide which I need most. Stress on the "need". hahaha.
Canvas, Linen, Floral, Houndstooth( retired) Holiday ( retired) and CHF Lace, Harliquin (like print pattern) and Paisley, also have a background stamp from Victorine Originals that is sort of like french script. Love them all and want more.
Fine Lace was the one that I stalled on getting for ages, I got all the other background stamps that I like first and I have to say it is my favorite, I much prefer it to floral. I use it a lot.
Myself, even thought I plan on ordering crosshatch at my party next month and have ordered several through Cornish Heritage..lol I continuously reach for either Weathered or French Script.
I already own most of them, but the two I've held off on buying are Dotted and Crosshatch. Those are going on my Sell-a-bration order today. They're so different from everything else I have. Absolutely love French Script, Floral,Linen and Print Pattern.

I love the new ones Close To My Heart has came out with in the Spring 2007 Idea Book. I want to get the Adorable Backgrounds and the Weathered Backgrounds...I think both these sets would be a lot of FUN and full of so many possibilities.

Linen is awesome! Gives a totally different look than canvas (it is softer looking IMO). The Aida Cloth and Floral backgrounds are also great. I pretty much have them all (I'm a BG stamp junkie).
I only have four BG Stamps - I have one I haven't used yet. I like other people's cards with it- but I don't know what to do with it yet and that's Word By Word. But I also have and love French Script, Linen (sort of like canvas-which I still want too!), and Dots and Daisies. Dots and Daisies coordinates perfectly with Simply said but it is very versatile.
I tend to always grab, canvas and linen, just gives enough of something so the card doesn't look flat, but not too much to distract from the rest of the card.
