Does anyone have some good ideas to make some party favors for a baby shower I'm hosting next week?
What about blank white onsies that are stamped with craft ink (is that the one for material?) and then heat set or whatever and given as the hostess gift?
Or would that be more for the mother to be and not the guests....
Will keep thinking and get back to you...

Cut a 2x3 piece of cardstock, cut out the arms, legs and neck holes with a small circle punch and use a scallop punch to create the lace at those places. Trim the scallops really well, so the paper is easier to work with, and glue them on. The either punch a hole and attach to ribbons that would tie off your candy bags.
You could also make 2 for each bag and create it double sided...attach the ribbons between the layers and write the date, name, etc on one or both sides.
OR glue them to the bags and just tie the ribbons at the top of the bag.
I was goin to say the shoes!! LOL. OR you can do a box of somesort- I know this website has TONS of ideas under Anything BUT a card (some folks have blogs with tutorials) and there's always the resource page on this site. I made oragami boxes with chocolates in them for my sister's baby shower. You can do ABC 'blocks' or I saw a bassinet done on here somewhere (I forget where- sorry). You can always check out baby favour sites and just 'lift' an idea for inspiration. HIH- have fun planning and crafting
OH! and Nancy- I just checked out your blog- TOO CUTE BUT- I did find that shoe template for FREE. A lady on this site done some of them and graciously shared the template- I did save it, but I have no idea of her name or what- I am so sorry that I'm so scatter brained! BUT- hopefully if you go to Anything BUT a card, and check out 'party favors' you should find them. Also, there are the infamous diaper or paper cakes- the paper cake would be a cute favor and an awesome centerpeice. Again- HIH- sorry to be so long winded- take care!
When I gave a shower for my daughter I found some blue votive candles(Blue for Boys Pink for girls) bought enough for each guest wrapped them in white tulle tied up with a blue ribbon with info on the shower typed up on the computer and punched a hole to string the ribbon thru...I put all the candles in a basket and then attached this poem to the basket and read it out loud before I handed them out...heres the poem....
This is a gift for you today,
So when I'm born you'll light my way.
And when that happy day is here,
Burn this candle and spread good cheer
I like the little sour cream containers. My friend did them for her shower and we stamped baby feet on them and then had coordinating ribbon on the ends. They turned out really cute.
If you want an easy and quick idea, try chocolate covered pretzel rods. I just did them for a baby shower. You can decorate it however you want to tie it into the shower theme or the nursery theme.
If you check out my blog (link below) I just did a long post of all the stuff I did for my sis-in-law's baby shower.
But the pretzels are super easy...they also sell pretzel rod molds now if you want to make it a little fancier.
I think edible is the way to go for favors. And easy, don't spend too much time making intricate tags or anything like that, most people just throw it away.
We made the pretzel rods look like magic wands and attached a star to the top. Luckily we found cheap, pre-made ones so there was no work involved. People had all ready taken the favor before leaving, and all ready eaten it and thrown away all the packaging, b/c I saw it in the trash!

It's been awhile (well actually its been years) since I did this. But you take a pink or blue nut cup make two slits about an inch and a half apart down the side of the cup Stop half way down. This will make the "tongue" of the shoe. Punch a hole on the rim closest to the tonge. You will want one on each side. With the ribbon pull the two sides together and tie a bow. I know my directions are crazy, but once you cut the cup it will pretty much fall into place. You can also use Dixie cups for this, but I think the nut cup is cuter. Deanna
Somewhere on her Blog she offered directions for making it, but I can find it just now . She has the written directions with the pictures. I recall the centers between the ducks were empty ribbon spools
