Red face ATTN: SCRAPBOOKERS - I need a printer..

Hi all fellow scrapbookers. I am looking for input on photo printers. My sister in law is getting married in July and i want to put together a reallly nice scrapbook of her wedding and reception but i want to be able to change ,enhance, crop, enlarge, minimize, change color tones, etc... to go throughout the album. however i want my pics to look like the ones in the Creating Keepsakes magazines, professional. I can do the photo altering to my desire on the program but my 3 in one printer (HP) does not print pics very well, I get lines so i will not use that for it.

Do any of you have photo printers? Do they work well for enhanced photos? Are they worth it?

Any suggestions are welcome, even if it is not an acutal photo printer, or printers that you can use a photo cartridge!

Thanks in advance!

Karrie

I have an epsom 2200 printer and use the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 and love it. I have eanlarged pictures to 8X10s and have great quality. I am just starting to learn some of the extras (and there are tons). There is also alot of automatic features, taking out red eye is a snap and cropping is easy. The printer has 7 cartridges and I use the glossy premium paper which you can shop around for. The glossy makes things extra sharp. The only thing is that once you print a picture you should let it dry 24 hours. The best may be to bring a picture on a disk to a store and print out from different printers. Hope this helps, Donna

I just found your post. Did you get a printer? I just got a Canon i9900. I love it so far, I have only had it less than a month. I want pictures like the CK one's too. I did just pick up Simple Scrapbooks Digital Photography special issue magazine. It's great. I am a sponge for photography tips now! I got a new Canon S2 IS months ago and am now taking much better pictures. I don't know if it's the camera or the tips I have absorbed but I teach at the local scrapbook store and many people have asked if I am a professional photograph. Hee Hee! Not likely but I am pretty happy with the results. The Canon printer will print 13x19's so I can run 12x12 cardstock thru it too. I also have Adobe Photoshop 7 and it's a chore to use but after taking a Photoshop Elements 3 class, I have figured a few things out on how to fix my pictures.
Good luck!
Kelli
