Default Aqua painters???

I've seen these in the catalog and have heard people here raving about them. The results look great. But, how do I use them? The SU catalog just says fill with water. How do you get the color?

I'm not a brand new stamper, but I'm not nearly as experienced as some of you ladies!

Use can use reinkers, watercolor crayons, watercolor pencils. Any of these get good results. Have fun trying it out!

After you fill them with water, you dip the "brush" in your ink pad for a watercolor effect

Ooooooooooo!!!! Dipping them makes sense. How do you use them with the crayons/pencils? The same way (touch the tip to the pencil/crayon)?

One way I use them is by colouring with the water colour pencil/crayons and then spread the aqua painter (filled with water) over the colour for a water colour effect. When I have a large amount of painting to do I find it easier using Stason ink so the outline doesn't leak.
Hope this helps.

When I use them with the crayons, I pick up the color from the "wrong" end. I also color and "spread" with both the pencils and the crayons if that makes sense.
