Question anything pirate

Hi there everyone, I am fairly new and i must say I love browsing through all the templates that are on the web site. What a wonderful thing you have all done to make it so easy to make great projects. I am looking for anything pirateish, Decorations to cool invitations, loot bags. I havn't seen anything like this on here, thought someone might know.
Thanks so much
Erica

Try using Qbee's Mayflower Template for a table top decoration, or even for a holder for your goodie bag. I am horrible at creating links, but if you type in Qbee's Mayflower Template in the search box (top right) it should come up!

With a class once, we drew treasure maps, carefully tore the edges and "antiqued" them with tea bags. (saturate tea bags with water and then wipe them over the paper).
HTH!

Hanna Stamps has a Pirate Hanna and a Riley Moose Pirate, look in the Hanna Stamps gallery for some idea.

I had a pirate party for my ds this summer. Sadly, the extra card I made for his scrapbook was given away when one of his friends lost the original card he was given I spent weeks agonizing over them. My favourite places for pirate stamps is Inky Antics, and High Hopes. CHF also has a nice set I would like.

I made sashes (1/2 kids got red sashes, and 1/2 kids got black ones) for the kids to wear. I separated them into 2 teams and we played pirate games. Some of the kids wore their sashes on their heads like Captn Jack Sparrow, and others wore them around their waist. I just bought a bit of fabric and tore it into lengths. Everyone got eye patches and a few gold coins (chocolate), temporary tattoo's and pirate gold gum in a loot bag--bought at Dollarama here in Canada. I avoided the swords for highly exciteable 8yo boys. We played games like Cannonballs (black water balloons), and Musical Islands. Had a treasure hunt -- clues made using a stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps. For lunch we had hot dogs And I purchased a mini-keg of Root Beer from Costco in the U.S. for $5 +deposit. The boys really enjoyed themselves.

This site has some great ideas

Third Coast Rubber Stamps has some great Pirate stamps. My DD is infatuated with anything pirate (going so far as having a compass and skull and crossed swords tattooed on her person ). I bought one of their pirate sets and she's used several times, once even for party invitations.

Good luck.

Pink Cat Studio has a really cute pirate set too. Charmaine has the set used to create everything for the party around the theme (and really adorably I might add). Check it out here http://oodabugalley.blogspot.com/sea...ink+cat+studio

Hope that helps!

The pirates from High Hopes are my absolute favorites! Here are a couple cards that I have in my gallery with some of their pirate stamps:

Happy Birthday to Ye!

Val Stangle did an awesome bag for Talk Like a Pirate Day last year - you can see it in the CHF gallery {here}. Something like this would be great for "booty bags" for the party goers.

The pirate set at CHF that someone mentioned earlier is called Shiver Me Timbers and there are also some individual stamps. You'll find all the pirate related stuff on {this page}.

If you want to make treasure chests, it might be worth looking out for wedding favour boxes that you can alter. I've seen ones that have that rounded top and you could maybe stamp them with a wood grain or weathered wood background stamp and add strips of dark brown card for the leather straps.

Have fun!

My friend , a preschool teacher, does a pirate unit. She bought foam stamps from oriental trading. They have tons of pirate decorations.
