Anyone use Mozilla Firefox?
I don't exactly know how I am able to be on this site since my IE will not let me get to bellsouth, which is my homepage! Somehow, I can get into my favorites, tho, so I am not without my SCS fix!
So--I have been reading about your blogs and many of you use Mozilla Firefox. I am wondering if I can just switch browsers since IE is failing me. If so, how on earth do I do this? Any advice would be helpful!

go to www.mozilla.com and click the big download button. Install it and you're set to go.
You can even export your IE favorites and import them into Firefox. (give me a few and I'll look up how to do it)
It took me a bit to get used to it, but now I really like it!

Hi, Sharon!
I'm sure you can switch to FireFox (FF). It does look and feel different than IE...so it'll probably take you a bit of time to get used to it - I'm still getting used to it, too! (I primarily use Safari (Apple) for browsing). But I use FF for blog browsing because, for *most* of the blogs, it tells me when it gets updated! Woot!
And you can Import your favourites from IE.
Here's the link for downloading FF:
FireFox by Mozilla
I hope others can share tips, too.
.:Cris:.
PS Sage is the application I use to keep up to date on (most) of the blogs I read. Oh, and I'm a Mac user. Maybe PC'ers use a different one?
PPS Ok, time for lunch!

In IE, go to the file menu and choose import/export (I'm currently looking at IE 7). Choose the 'export favorites' option and save it somewhere you can find it (my husband always tells people to use the desktop).
In Firefox, go to file/import and follow the instructions. Firefox puts an IE folder inside the bookmark menu option. Then you can manage them as desired.
There are also a bunch of add-ons you can add to Firefox. My favorites are Addblock, No-Script, and view in IE option for those pages that don't render well in Firefox.
Have fun!

Firefox is fantastic! It's my best friend. I can't live without it... On my desktop at home, IE is no longer functional - it just stopped working one day.

Don't go directly to firefox!! There's a button on the SCS main page that links you to the website - I *believe* SCS gets a little something when you use it.

I just started using Firefox this week and I like it. Actually you will want to download Firefox 2. It is the most recent. You can have both browsers (IE and Firefox). You just have to decide which you want to be the default. Since I downloaded IE7 I think the two look an awful lot alike. I am still learning my way around Firefox, but I am liking it.

I'm a Firefox fan too! There are a few websites that aren't "Firefox" friendly, but I downloaded an extension called IE View. I set this up so that those TWO websites automatically open in Internet Explorer even if I click on a bookmark to those sites. One is iVillage.com and the other is the admin page for my job. iVillage.com will still work, but the WYSIWYG features don't display.
