Default Anyone ever hear of October Afternoon?

I've been making Christmas cards this past year using scrapbook paper that I have in my craft room. I've seen many youtube videos where they will use up a whole 6x6 paper pack to make cards. Pretty ingenious if ya ask me. So that is one of my missions this year. I have been looking at a ton of Christmas paper collection packs to add to my stash. Just yesterday I came across a company called October Afternoon. They have a cool retro look to them. But when I went to order some stuff, there wasn't a place to put things in your cart. Thought that was odd.

October Afternoon was a company based out of Minnesota. They had some of the nicest paper, but sadly they are no longer in business. Their last social media posts are from 2016. I think I have seen some of their papers sold on places such as Amazon.

They had great stamps too, I have a set of their owls, and a tree and little deer.
Their papers were lovely, I still have some oddments left.
If Cosmo Cricket are still making papers, I'd think their lines would be quite similar.

It's funny, because I had the same question in my mind when I was looking up a different product yesterday, OPAL embossing enamels. Last blog entry on the company site was 8 years ago.

I really liked October Afternoon. They had really nice paper and stamps. I have a farm set of stamps from them. Sorry they are no longer in business. I am still hoarding a few pieces of their patterned paper.

This thread is making me very sad, thinking about all the products I used to use from companies that are long gone. The list is very long and I am grateful for the ones still around.

I see some on Etsy. They are selling it by a couple sheets at time but not horribly expensive-depending on what they charge to ship.

This is off topic, but.....I thought Etsy was a place to sell handmade items. I don’t understand how someone an sell store bought paper pads on there. It’s not just that. I know there are other things as well. But, whenever I get an email from Etsy, it is for handmade stuff.

You are also allowed to sell crafting supplies. From their site:

What can I sell on Etsy?

Etsy provides a marketplace for crafters, artists and collectors to sell their handmade creations, vintage goods (at least 20 years old), and both handmade and non-handmade crafting supplies.

I don't think Cosmo Cricket are still making papers. Their blog doesn't work and their last FB post was Oct 2016. Someone told me a while ago that they moved out of scrapbooking papers to other crafty stuff like canvasses and mason jars (?). Such a shame! I still have some of their papers and really love them.
