I love to stamp. I love to try new techniques. I love to teach others how to make cards. I do it for fun, but it also brings meaning to my retired life. I didn't think I had a big family until I read the comments in this thread. I made a forever calendar and put all the birthdays and anniversaries of family and friends. I inherited my dad's address book that listed birthdays/anniversaries of family members, so I have cousins I rarely see, great nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends that have been in my life. Because there is a wide variety of ages, I get to make kid cards, girly cards, manly cards, and of course the difficult sympathy cards. Even though I send at least 15 cards a month (not counting every holiday I can think of), I do not think of it as a chore. All the cards I've had so much fun making get sent out to someone else I hope will enjoy getting them. I do keep a small stash for emergencies and when a type gets low I will make a few extra of the technique I'm working on. Every card is a one-of-a-kind, yet I will never use up all the ideas I have, if I live to be 300! I am not an artist, but consider myself a craftsperson. I have a stamping room that I spend many happy hours in everyday. Here's to all the craft-in-ators and craft-a-holics out there enjoying life and making it more beautiful!

Forgot to mention that I also send out cards for no reason at all. Just to say hi, wish someone a happy day, or let them know I'm thinking about them and missing them. It matters not if I see that person at least once a week or not.
