Does anyone have a group that is starting to work on their holiday cards so that they're good and ready for the holidays? I always end up starting these late in November and then I don't get them done in time ever! I'd really like to join a group that will keep me on schedule and share ideas.
Im not a part of a group but I am doing them. Im only making a couple right now though and waiting to order my new Christmas sets.
Im super focused though, I dont know how to rub that off on someone without being "naggy":(
My schedule for the fall and Holiday season is pretty busy since I make around 60 cards for Halloween, Thanksgiving, DD birthday, Christmas, and my older daughters birthday.
It will take me about a week to make the 60 cards for each project from designing them to mailing them out.
I come from a long line of OCD and taking on a lot of projects.........in small doses it's great! In large doses my husband cant take it!
Yep, mine are D-O-N-E! Along with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Valentine's Day. I'm a teacher and like to get these bigger jobs done during the summer. I still have Easter cards to finish before the school year starts up this September. Good luck working on yours. There are SOOOOO many great ideas here on SCS! Thanks to everyone for sharing.
I have got 32 done so far! So I've got a good start on them. I also make some to sell at work before Christmas, so I'll just keep at it until I'm good and sick of making Christmas cards for another season, lol !
I am starting a pile to send over to the soldiers. Jackie Stenger has requested Christmas cards. I think I must have 500-or 600 fronts to mount. I will make a lot myself as well.
Happy stampin ladies.
I'm not part of a group, but my friend and I get together twice a month -- once at a workshop, and once just the two of us. We have decided that our 'just the two of us' day that we're going to do our holiday cards. Tomorrow we're doing Halloween, next month Thanksgiving, and that leaves us two or three months to do Christmas cards.
My rule is that I don't start them until the last week in October. Weird time? I guess...high school football season ends then and up until this year that has kept me too busy to work on them. ;)
I'm also in the Christmas Card Challenge and have 71 Christmas cards made. I won't be needing too many more, so then I'll switch to making Christmas Thank You cards...working in a school, I use lots of those, too!!

I am doing this, too....isn't it rewarding to do something for the troops..they do so much for us! MJ
I have not made one single card yet for the holidays and my original goal was 10 a month! I was just thinking last night that August will be my Christmas card month.
I make them year round too and have probably 15-20 done. I do like to make them in the winter, it's so hot here, so I make most in Jan/Feb, then more in October. I send them all out the day I get back from Thanksgiving. I get them all written out before I go an then stick them in the mailbox the Monday after. Always. I think Christmas cards before Thanksgiving is a little soon. But I HAVE to be one of the first cards people get. (because I'm a nut)
I don't send tons and tons though, I try to keep it under 50.
I do send a bunch of Halloween cards. I find Halloween very cute and use them as sort of, "I wanted to let you know at the begining of this holiday season that I'm thinking of you and wish I could spend some of it with you" I send those to people I won't see at Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I think I've only ever sent two Thanksgiving cards.

How do I get in touch with Jackie? I'd like to send some too.
I started mine this month and have about five or six done so far. They are extra-fancy ones though, so I'll probably go to something a bit simpler as time goes on. I don't belong to a group that does it though, just doing it on my own.
Mine are all done! Did 50 on my own and last Sunday my friends and I got together and had a Christmas In July Stamp camp and made 20 assorted ones - so now onto the other holidays - it feels great to have them done already!!!
It is never too early to start them! I purchased the set I used last year and want the one in the new Holiday mini for next year's cards! ( And will probably get them stamped before this Christmas is here - just love new toys to play with!
You're supposed to get your Christmas cards done ahead of time Mine usually get done in December and sent out in January. People might think there is something wrong if they went out before Christmas.... Kudos to all of you who do it early!!!!
I'm working on my Christmas cards right now. I usually wait until the last minute. But now with being due in 6 weeks, I figure I might as well get them done while I have the time to do them! And it's better now because I can go outside on a nice day to work on them rather then being stuck in the house in December staying up until midnight rushing to get them done!!
I did my first one yesterday and will have 7 more finished by days end. I also started my Halloween cards but can't finish 'til one set of stamps I ordered is delivered. Should arrive by tomorrow or Tuesday!
I have made 48 for my mother (actually I think I made them in February or March), but yet need to make several dozen for myself and my mom. I'm stuck for ideas on these two sets.
