Default Another ??? on retiring sets

What does it mean that sets are retiring? I know that SU will no longer sell them but posters have said they have lost their collections?

I'm just curious! I already contacted my demo with my wish list... my original retired wish list was over $200 but I got it down to $85. I was impressed with my self control

It means that demos may not use them anymore for workshops, etc. That is why they are saying they have lost most of their collections. I am just a hobby demo so it makes little difference to me if I still like a set, but business demos got hit pretty hard in losing current sets until the new catalog comes out.

Oh, thanks! Not that I advocate breaking the rules but is it enforced? Could your demo whatever be taken away if you were using retired sets in workshops?

No you can demo a retired set if you want to. However if everyone loves it but can't buy it then you're in trouble.

Nope, not going to be punished, but you might certainly have angry customers. Image this...you are at a SU demonstration and the demonstrator shows you a knockout, WOW card that your absolutely need to make for your mother/father/son/daughter/whatever's birthday/announcement/thank you/event. You then go to the demonstrator and tell her you want to order the stamps to make this kick A** card, only to be told, sorry, but you can;t buy this stamp set any longer. You'd likley be upset and possibly leave the workshop without making a purchase.
