okay a reiteration-this was a question about ALPHABITS-and many people shared worthwhile answers to it. Then it got heated and then (as in the cycle of life) things settled down again-and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Now, I am ONCE AGAIN going to refer back to the TOS for everyone to see and hope that things can get back to being respectful. Here is another little comment-if you see something STAMPING RELATED that is plain not true-then speak up. If for example someone says that SU used to have 72 colors-well then by all means you can pop in and POLITELY say, "Well, actually they have always has ____ colors and for a while they had ______ blah blah blah"
BUT there is NO NEED to nitpick at each other-none, zero, zilch, zippy. If you PERSONALLY don't like someone based on their posts-well don't interact with them or engage them. Simple fix. Ignore them and be the duck-let their comments slide off your back.

This is a rubber stamping website, not a WWF arena.

If you don't like what someone says-IGNORE THEM and let it go.
From the TOS:

Quote:
Quote:

Any guidelines we institute are in addition to rules of ‚Äúcommon sense‚Ä? or ‚Äúcommon courtesy‚Ä? and we are not outlining or providing for every situation. The simple rules we write here can in no way constitute the entire scope of how the board will be managed. We can only provide the guidelines, and do our best to maintain this site with its original purpose in mind -a place for people to get together and share their creativity and talent, and provide support for one another in a positive way.

In other words-BE NICE.

Britta,

Thanks.

I had NO desire to buy the alphabits set but after all these threads, I keep saying to myself, "Maybe, maybe..." and I have til the end of May to decide. LOL

I did want to humorously interject to Britta that it's no longer WWF, because the World Wildlife Fund sued them. I got a kick out of that! LOL

I propose the following:
I am going to try mounting them on lego blocks !
then I can make words, crazy alphabet, and line 'em up straight
and I still have a second set coming soon for backgroundin' !!!
I'll let y'all know how the expeiment goes

... maybe if it works I'll have to buy "I'm Here" again too...

Legos? Wow! How creative is that! What a neat idea! Please post your results with the experiment. If all goes well, maybe I'll buy another set, since mine are already mounted the regular way on wood. Thanks for sharing your idea.

Another great way to mount stamps is to spend about $10 at Walmart and buy a wooden Jenga set. Those are perfect to mount smaller stamps. Before you mount, put the stamp on an acrylic block and stamp it on one side of the wood in black. Let it dry and then glue the stamp (you never need foam for little stamps) to the wood with Monoaqua glue. I have never had one come off! It contains many, many blocks of wood. I found a set at a yard sale for $1.

I certainly hope that this is not an example of what the Stampin' Up family will be like. If she ever want to purchase SU products from a Demo who believes in customer service she is welcome to contact me when and if that ever happens for me or her. I'm really disappointed.

Sorry to say this IS an example of a few SU Demos on SCS that think they have the majority viewpoint. The only reason they get away with it is they are "in" with the powers that be. Why have a TOS when their are NO consequences for bad behavior?

I use the 2-way and my finger. I just put them all where I want them and then move one, put a dot of 2-way, then use my finger to pick up and place. They are small enough and seem to just stick to the ball of my finger. Maybe my fingers are just tacky from crafting all day lol!

I am really enjoying the Alphabits. The fonts are so cute and I think that the pc printing idea is cool, but each font would have to be adjusted to fit in the punches. That would waste my paper just trying to adjust that. IMO

Default Alphabits

I really liked the XOXO and the St. Paddy's Day cards. I have the Alphabits set and punches primarily because I am a completist. There have been a lot of good suggested applications. However, I am feeling ambivalent about them. They seem to have promise, however, I don't know how soon I will have the time to play. It takes most of what I have to complete my swaps.

I, too, have fibromylagia. My doctors told me to start taking care of myself and do things I enjoy. Which is difficult with 2 of my 3 children having special needs. I became a demonstrator for the discount and the fun. My "Mom" told me how great this community was. It enables me to join in the creative process with you all, even when I can't sleep. We benefit from the mistakes and successes of others.

I read all 10 pages with morbid curiosity. I hope that future topics will be conducted with grace. When others are venting at me, I try to remember the times I needed to vent. We may be anonymous to each other, but God is the unseen observer of every converstion and He loves every single one of you. I am wishing that the joy of Easter is with you all.

I have them and I like them a lot. The frist time I used them it was a pain but I have used them a few more times and its much easier. I use the liquid glue and I use a large pair of tweezers to handle my punched out image to set it on the card or page that I am putting them on. That makes it really easy to arrange them and set them out straight. I have the SU punches and they punch out really nice and easy.

They are actually quite wonderful with problems just call the 800 number, I myself have only had one problem (customer threw away one of her rubber peices by accident) and they are amazing, they didn't have to fix the problem but were more than happy to. It takes a while to get an email back, 2 or 3 days, but now I am happy... try calling, they are really good!!
