Default Adhesive (Mono-Adhesive)

Does anyone else have problems with their tombo or snail mono-adhesive braking or gooping up?

I hate not to use the snail adhesive at shows, but it is so costly with it braking.

Default Mono-Adhesive

Mine is always gooping up, I seem to waste more than I use. I am thinking of changing adhesives.

A friend just called me two nights ago with a mono adhesive emergency. It had broken and she couldn't get the thing off. The directions just tell you to take it out, but it really took her some doing. She was going to try to stick it to itself, then roll it up a bit. Has anyone ever tried this successfully? I think I ended up telling her to go ahead and pop in a new one, and mess with it later.

I just threw away one of my mono adhesive refills because it broke. I tried to stick it back on, but I couldn't get it to work. It is really frustrating!

I've been using the mono/snail adhesive for 5 or so years now and had always been very happy with it. I have noticed recently that it's been gooping up a lot more and I've had a couple of refills that the little dispenser part broke on it. It seems to be hit and miss, but I have been getting kind of irritated with it myself lately. I've tried other adhesives in the past but always come back to this because it seems to work the best - but if it keeps breaking then it's not worth it.
I don't know what to do about this. I think the old design was better.

Default Return It!

You really should return it to SU for a replacement. If they don't know things are breaking they can't work to get them fixed. I am sure that they order enough from Trombo to have a voice if there is a Quality issue.

I had the same problems with the mono-adhesive getting nasty. I switched to the Duck. When you can find it at Wally's, you'll only find the non-refillable kind. It goes kinda fast, but it is cheap enough (4 for $ and doesn't gunk up.
