I'm coveting that new SU three layer punch that has the look of doilies. Have any of you SU demos used it yet? If so, do you have samples to show? I was also wondering if it was hard/easy to use.
I'm not a demo, but I got my mini catalog yesterday. The punch looks awesome!! Here are some links to some samples that I found. PS, If you want one of those punches, you better get it right on May 1, otherwise they'll be sold out and backordered for a long time! ;)
Hi, I ordered the other one, Blossom Bouquet, so I can at least tell you how they work. There is a slide on the end of the punch that has 3 positions. You can see it on the picture. When you move that slide it determines which portions of the punch are engaged and will pass through. It acts like a stopper for certain levels. Not that I recommend dropping any punch, but if you break those plastic stoppers, the punch will no longer function as designed.
I really like the Blossom Bouquet punch so far for all the options it gives. I had no idea when I got the Bold Blossom stamp set from the Occations Mini that there would be a punch to coordinate. I find it very easy to use.
I saw those in the catalog and thought I need to get those sometime next month. Now that I have seen the samples someone posted, I have to get them on May 1st!!!! Love them.
I'm flattered that my website was quoted up there (thanks Melody). The punches are great! I especially like the Blossom punch. The trick to getting a great punched image is to hold them flat on the table when you punch. If you hold it up in the air, it will not work! Also, it takes a few punches to get used to - but the less detailed the image you select to punch, the less you punch down. You hardly feel like you're punching the full scalloped shape. Not a negative thing - just something to be aware of!
And, I agree with Melody, if history proves true, I wouldn't be surprised if they go on backorder....however, Stampin' Up! has been working hard at reducing the backorders.

I used both at my upline's house tonight. They were pretty neat and seemed to work well. Trying to tell myself I don't NEED them! They definitely have a different "feel" and it will take a bit to get used to...and dummy me kept forgetting to click the switch to punch the next level....duh!!!!

I have played with my new punches and after practicing with them a bit, I have to say that they are a great addition to our SU! line. Can't wait to see what the BIG catty has to offer!!

I'm sooooo glad I'm a demo now and get to see the BIG catty earlier than ever before! I just can't wait! It's like Christmas in June!

Thanks so much for posting my card that was so nice of you
I just made another card using this punch and I'm in the process of putting it on my blog. It might take me a little bit because I did a tutorial of how I made my flower so I'll post back here once I have it uploaded.
Patty, that card is gorgeous. I didn't even like the punch until I saw your beautiful card! Yikes! Now I must order it! I am even contemplating putting in another preorder before the May 1st rush. Oh what these boards do to my wallet!

Thanks! I love the triple layer punches. I haven't made a card yet using the other one, but I'm thinking it would make cute snowflakes.
