Kristen, I don't have any links for you...but just wanted to say that I recently had my 70th birthday, so you could be my daughter, (in numbers, of course.)
Happy 70th Birthday to your mom from another mom. I feel I've gotten to know you here on the boards, and may I say, your mother did a wonderful job with you!
I know whatever you come up with will be perfect and she will love it!

I did a card similar to this one: SUO 95 Candle Card by stampindoe - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
for my grandmother's 90th birthday. The card was an amazing hit with my grandmother as well as the guests. The hardest part for me was figuring out the folds on the card and the placement of the candles so they were evenly spaced, but the actual card wasn't incredibly hard to create, just some pre-planning involved.

oooo love it. I was thinking about using a smaller birthday candles stamp....
I think I may be hedging toward a magic box idea with candles...
I did an 80th birthday card for my mom. I die cut the 8 and the 0 for the base then used sizzix rolled roses die, Sizzix Bigz Die - Flowers, 3-D | Sizzix.com and glued the roses to the 8 and the 0 base. Came out stunning, my mom gasped and cried when she saw it. I used pearls in the middle of the roses. A banner that said Happy Birthday Mom was added.
It could be made bigger and with more pop up layers. The front says "Happy Birthday - call when it's time for cake" In case you can't read it in my blurry front photo

geogymnast82, thank you for mentioning my 95 candle card.
My friend loves this card. Last year she asked me to add a candle to it.
I did that and will add another one this Monday for her 97th!
I've made this card for 55, 60, 65, etc.
An easy way to do the folds is to use a 12" piece of cardstock.
Cut at 4-1/4 x 12. Score at 5-1/2 and 11, this will leave 1 inch left over. That 1 inch is used to glue the next piece to. For the final panel, cut off the 1 inch piece. Hope that helps you next time.
Just beautiful! I am sure she loved it! This is an inspiration, and I will remember this for a super special birthday (and I have a ton of time). Thanks so much for showing us and for the instructions on your blog.
