Default Which 3 + Copic colors would you use for Burgundy?

Which 3 or 4 Copic colors would you use to color Burgundy?

I am coloring the Nurse stamp for my daughter's Birthday card.
At the hospital where she works they have standard uniform colors so in an emergency the doctors know the qualifications of each Nurse on duty.

She is a BS/ RN ( the highest education level) and they wear Burgundy uniforms . The regular Rn's wear navy.
This way a doctor knows to grab a nurse in burgundy if there is a major crisis. They don't have time to read name tags .

Burgundy is a difficult one because sometimes it needs to be more reddish, and sometimes it needs to be more purple-ish/brownish. I have used the following in the past:
R29, R39, and R89
R59, R59, and R89
You could also try R37, R39, and R59

Hope that helps!

Can I ask where you found a nurse stamp?

I'm lacking in the burgundy Copic colours, so what I do is either use R89 or R59 by itself and then for the lighter areas I go back in with the blender marker. If you do this though, the red ink will really bleed with the blender so don't go too close to the edges. Only do it my way if you don't have all the colours that Samantha mentioned. My way is definitely last resort, not first choice.

The R8 family is the most burgundy of the reds... I would use R83/R85/R89 One of my favorite combinations.

Thanks Colleen! I have R83 & R85 but no R89. Could I squeak by with R59 or is that a different color base .

I just ordered the R89. The R59 blended with R83 & R85 is a tad off .
If this keeps up one day I will have all the Copic colors LOL
That is fine . I really like them and have not had any new colors in a long time .

I have this stamp and use it often. They're bare red rubber. Love this line of stamps.

Barbara Jay, R59 is more of an orange red than the R89... R89 is definitely burgundy. I do sometimes use R59 with R83/R85 but then I always add R89 since it's a much deeper color. You can also use R59 and then add a touch of blue... B66 is good... to give it more of the violet instead of orange. Play around - no need to stick with the blending groups if you have the basic blending techniques down.
