2nd CDN Goodie Box, closed!
I am starting a 2nd Goodie Box and we will follow the same guidelines as Wenfaye's group ( Thank You to Wenfaye for the idea and rules)
Some rules for the Goodie Box are :
*You can take out as much as you want, but replace each item with another. So if you take out 3 things put in 3 things. .
*Although I think it goes without saying, don't take out a stamp set and replace it with a yard of ribbon etc...
*When you receive the box, try and have it back in the mail in 3 days. Life happens so this is not a do or be flamed thing just a general courtesy thing.
General info:
-If the box is looking pretty tough, please change out the box with another.
-If we use the computer to do up the address's we can just tear ours off and slap a new one on when we are sending the box to the next person.
-Make sure the list of names and address's stays in the box.
-Let us know when you receive the box and again when you send it on so we know to expect it.
-Please know, the shipping is pricey depending on what is in the box. I am guessing an average of $10 - $15. Which may mean when you get the box, there may be nothing in it you are wanting or they may be things you already have and then you still have to pay the shipping to send it on. Please take this into consideration before you sign up.
-If you are putting inks of any kind of powders please put them in a ziploc bag incase the box gets bounced around and things come open.
Some ideas of things to put in are:
inks
ribbons
papers
stamps
scissors
stickers
embelishments
....etc
Please know, these things don't have to be new or unused or full packages etc. Feel free to put in some retired or current SU! products. I am not limiting this to just SU! but I think we all will be quite happy to keep the contents to quality useful things. If you find something at your local dollar store that is too cute to pass up you are welcome to put them in. Just no garage sale type items.... hee hee

I have done these in the past and had lots of fun with it. One thing we did that cut the cost a bit, or so we thought, was use a bubble envelope so the weight was less, and the odd time it fit through the magic canada post "slot" and it went as a letter, so really cheap. Depends what goes in and comes out for sure.
Just a question: when I receive the box, do I choose who I send it to next or do we follow some sort of order to know who gets it next? How does that work?
Hi there, I believe Scrapnstamp on the farm will have a list on who sends it to who. This is my first time doing a Goodie Box exchange, I think it will be alot of fun.
Sorry, Conni, but I'll have to pass this time. Thank you for your patience and for organizing this. It will still be fun to 'watch' the box travel our great nation. :cool:

Ok girls, the box is ready to go, I will send it to the farthest and then it can make it's way back across the country. We can keep track of it's progress on this thread. Here is the order:

Okay the box is in the mail, it cost about $10 for me to send it from Sask. to NS. If you find along the way the box needs to be replaced, please do so, or if it is to small for what you want to send feel free to size up. REMEMBER to post here when it comes and when you send it off. Look forward to getting it back with all sorts of stuff from everyone

I just found this site a few days ago and this post just now... I would love to join in... especially if it's already in NS and I could interrupt the order and pick it up from the person in NS instead of her mailing it... Please consider me joining...:razz: :razz: :razz:
Is there some way we can squeeze Anita and Jan in?? Originally we wanted 10 - this would make 10, right? Could someone just redo the address list and include them? I'd be willing to do that if I get the box soon enough. I'm also willing to wait to get it if they need to be sqeezed in before me. What do others think? How can we get them in?

Hi Everyone,
The goodie box came today and boy was it a perfect time. I am inside with 5 rowdy preschoolers on this rainy day and I could have hugged the mail lady when she came to the door! The goodies are great! I have had such fun, it really is like Christmas come early. I'll try to get to the Post office tomorrow morning or evening at the latest.Thanks Coni for starting it off with such great goodies!
