I just did this same search yesterday using "vintage rubber stamps" and "retro rubber stamps" with Google. I didn't find quite what I was looking for (mix between 50's and art deco) but I did find lots of cool things. Check www.hotpotatoes.com for some 50's things.

Here are some websites I have found. I know I have more if I can just find them back. I have so many rubber stamps companies in my favorites that I can't find specific stamps other than ones I've saved.
The Web site is a little difficult for me to use -- only a few images on a page at a time, but there are lovely things if you dig for them.
I've got a 1950s lady -- head and shoulders -- holding a piece of mail that I stamp on the back of my cards with my name and date when I give them to family members (not selling as I don't konw their angel policy.

I know this is a very old thread, but has some good information on vintage stamps I was looking for. I like the 50's style. How fun. I was also looking for vintage clear stamps too.
