~quiet vs. sounds~

i don't have a tv in my stamp room, so the radio is on... 60's station (fun music!) and my dog is in the room making all his weird noises....

I have to have some sort of noise going on and it's usually my cd player with my current favorite cd playing. I can't have it completely quiet.

I don't like it completely quiet so I have either the radio/cd player going or the T.V. on.

I have the TV on a lot, but I will tell you, in life and in general, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the quiet! It is always noisy here with the kids and my DH with the TV on too loud on shows I don't like, that the quiet is just always welcomed!

I chose quiet- I used to have the TV on but always got distracted on. Love this time of year when I can have the windows open and just listen to the birds and other nature sounds. Much more inspiring to me than Dr. Phil!

Quiet, quiet, quiet! Except when it's nice out I love to have the window open and have outdoor sounds - birds singing, cars going by, lawn mowers and dogs - preferably a couple of blocks away! White noise.

Either is fine with me. Although I get a lot more done if it is quiet. If I'm really struggling or trying to create a design, I prefer quiet. However, if I am doing repetitious-type work, I like TV/movies.

I have a DVD player in my stamp room and usually watch a movie every night. Sometimes it's Anne of Green Gables and sometimes Pride and Pred. I try to make sure it isn't something I really want to watch or I will get no stamping/scrapping done.

I had to get a DVD/TV combo for my craft room because I wanted to watch my chick flicks and Gilmore Girls DVDs. Now I have cable in there too so I can watch a Jazz game or whatever I want, but I still reach for GG.

I love nice music on when I stamp. We just built a house, and I do not have any way to play music in "MY ROOM" yet, but when I put a CD in downstairs, it can be heard pretty much in the whole house. That is great for me! But someday I will get a cdplayer for my room....which my husband built especially for me to be able to stamp, read, sew, or whatever I want! HOORAY!

I would rather have the silence if I'm stamping alone. I rarely turn on the tv or radio during the day. Sometimes the sounds aggravate me and I can't concentrate.

TV's are on in every room of the house all day..from the time I get up till I go to bed...can't stand silence.

I sometimes have the TV on, but don't really pay much attention. Weird habit which I think I am going to become more conscious of. I think I don't need the background noise.
