Default Zipemate or Big Shot?

Hi,
I'm deciding between getting one of these (my birthday is coming ). Any suggestions? I've never used a die cut machine before. Help please! -Jen

Zipemate! I had Sizzix (not Big Shot), but the best part is Accucut makes all the different platforms so you can use just about any die. Big Shot won't take the regular size dies from Ellison or Accucut. The downfall is the Zipemate is not as wide as the Big Shot. I can use Quickutz, Accucut, Ellison, Sizzix, Bosskuts, and Spellbinders in the Zipemate. The only dies that I can use are the larger die (because of the width). -- Checkout ebay for cheap Zipemates. I got mine for $80 and it came with an Accucut alphabet.

Oh yeah, forgot... with the Zipemate you have the turning wheel that pulls the dies through vs the Big Shot and having to push the dies in steps. When pushing, you can create double cuts - that drove me crazy!

Zip E-Mate....I 100% am behind. You get all of the "layers" you might need to cut any die. I can not find a die I can not cut, and get a perfect shape. I am selling my Quickutz Hand Tool, this is IT for me...

Default Thanks so much

Thanks for your help, that answers my question. Accucut currently has a sale anyway. But I'll check e-bay if yours came with an alphabet! I thought the big shot had a crank handle too though?
