I e-mailed web support with this question and here is the reply I received from Daven:
hi Jen,
sorry for the delay in responding. we've heard varying reports of zip
files working for some people, and not working for others. we haven't
isolated any "why" yet though. we can probably find the time to take
a look at it after some of our current gallery work is completed. if
you haven't already, you might try using a different web browser, and
make sure whatever browser you use is the most current version.
Hopefully after they've made SCS an even more awesome place to be they might figure out this. If not, oh well, they already do so much work and I appreciate it!
