Default Gallery photo help please!

Granted, I'm not the best photo taker and my camera is old and only 3.1 megs (and I recently dropped it, lol!) BUT my pictures look fairly good and sharp on my computer (a Mac) then when I upload to the gallery they turn out blurry and the detail is lost. I set the pixels at 90-130 to reduce the size of the file and save at 8 or 9 resolution. Any suggestions as to how I can get a better copy of my photo to the gallery? I'm getting a bit frustrated. Thanks!

They look fine to me, I find it hard to imagine them being much better.
Personally I leave mine at the 300dpi I take them at, and I've never had trouble uploading, I resize to 800 pixels wide at that resolution.

Thanks, Sabrina, next time I'll try leaving them at 300 dpi and resizing to 800 pixels - hopefully that'll make them more like the original.

And thanks ladies for checking my gallery - I guess the pics are okay then and I shouldn't be bothered. I admit I tend towards being picky. (sigh) It's just that it's frustrating when the picture I take is sharp and clear and you can even see the sparkle of glitter and rhinestones but when it ends up in my gallery to me it looks flat and rather out of focus. So I'll try Sabrina's suggestion. :-)
