Default Crayon resist on glossy/regular CS

I experimented and crayon resist works on both kinds of cardstock. Why do most of the crayon resist instructions call for glossy cs instead of regular? I might be missing out on something here.

I've only done it on glossy...but my understanding is that is works MUCH BETTER on glossy than regular. But, since I haven't tried it - I don't know if it is really better. It is probably easier to brayer or sponge ink onto the glossy than the non-glossy.

From your experience - does it look just as good on non glossy paper?

The glossy just adds a nice "touch" makes it look a little extra special as well as allows the ink to kinda smooth in nicely!
