Xyron $30 at Office Depot
 

Office Depot had an end cap up front of a Laminator & Sticker Kit for $30. It is the 505 which is the 510 that they sell to non craft stores. It said laminator on it and I could see the Xyron in the picture had a pemanent cartridge in it, but I honestly couldn't tell which cartridges were included (because none were open and I didn't have the guts to do it). The kit also had stuff to make 28 6x6 pages, according to the box.

so the 510 cartridges fit into this 505?

I am pretty sure the 505's do not fit into the 510's...but I could be wron. :(

I would go to the Xyron site and check out whether the 505 fits the 510 before I bought.

Just a thought. Also the box should say what components are present in the box.

The 505 cartridges do fit the 510. Target had a bunch on clearance way back when they were restocking their Scapping stuff and I bought wome. The only difference witht the 505 and the 510 is"the 510 has the magnetic cartridge"

I don't think you can see it in my gallery, but I got my 505s when Walmart was clearing them out for less than $14. I use 510 cartridges all the time since I ran out of the 505 cartridges that I got at the same time.

It is kind of like buying a computer. You can never comp shop the exact same one because the manufacturers all seem to sell a slightly different stock number to different retailers. Xyron sold the 505 through Walmart and then Target, but I have never seen them at a craft store.
