Default Wow-- Michael's has beautiful new products!

I went to my local Michael's today, to see if they had the new Martha Stewart stuff, and they didn't yet (coming April 29th, according to the flyer I saw). But they had a whole bunch of BEAUTIFUL new products for scrapbooking from KC&Co. Wow-- gorgeous papers, albums, stickers and embellishments. I was drooling so bad! I just wanted to share my joy with the rest of you.

I was at Michaels on Sunday and they were still putting out all of thier new products. It was so nice to see all of the new scrapbooks, embellishments, stamps, papers and so on. I can hardly wait to see the new products from Martha Stewart.

I went by tonight to check out the new $1 stamps (and only spent $19!). They had a lot of empty aisles with notes up on where they were stocking new stuff... They had ALL the new Cuttlebug dies (yippie, I found a cancer ribbon die), and they had the cool totes everyone's been looking for!

I can only hope the the Micheals in my area follows suit. I'm so very tired of being disappointed with their skimpy paper craft supplies.

On a higher note though, as someone once said 'necessity is the mother of invention' and if nothing else, Michaels has forced me to think outside of the box in order to achieve the results I desire.

I saw the new K and Co. products yesterday. They are beautiful. Love the little roses, paper, etc. Luckily I was a woman with a mission, some ribbon and some flowers, nothing else spent.

Default What type of craft supplies will Martha Stewart have

at Michael's? Will it be rubber stamping or scrapbooking? I love K&Co. supplies, so I've got to check that out!

OK. I know where I'm going tomorrow. Paper is my weakness. I was a kindergarten teacher for 27 years and looooved the paper art projects. As I said on another forum, though, I'm a paper hoarder. Yes, I did cut into 2 printed sheets yesterday as I had promised and there were no tears....just a glazed look in my eyes, I think. <g>

I was at Michael's on Monday with coupons in hand and was totally impressed! One thing I've found with Michael's vs. JoAnn's is that JoAnn's usually has too many things already discounted so you can't use the coupons.
I saw the empty aisle with the unpacked boxes - assuming this is where Martha will take my money. There was a salesperson in the aisle so I was trying to squeeze some info out on what to expect from Martha Stewart's stuff. She was good and wouldn't tell me much. Just have to keep stalking the store.

I hear ya! I hate going into our Michaels and not finding what I want. It doesn't seem to matter how often you ask for things, they don't seem to care enough to put the requested stuff on the shelves!!!!

I think it's even more frustrating for me because I have to travel an hour into the city for the disappointment! Same goes for the Walmarts.

My store was rearranging the shelves on Monday so maybe my store will get the new stuff soon. I still haven't ever seen the 1$ clear stamps everyone is talking about

I really had to hunt around for those. The Mike's I was at had them in a bin near the registers and front door - no where near the rubber stamp section. And, not near their other $1 bins. Go figure.

A new Michael's just opened near me, so they were already stocked with all the new K&Co stuff. I went wild and bought some mini paper pads and cards. They had some great new stamps, too.

Now, the Michael's near where I work... they were tearin the place apart and moving everything around. They are getting ready to restock for sure.

AC Moore, however, had a whole bunch of new stamps and scrap stuff.

The Brenda Walton Dollhouse Scrap Pad To Go was originally $14.99 (cheaper than the normal $19.99 I've seen elsewhere). Then I had a $50 off coupon, so I got all of this gorgeous double sided paper, the alphabet and tag die cuts, etc. for less than $8.00. I'll be making some beautiful cards on the cheap.

Oh, and Micheals also had some Brenda Walton clear sentiment stamps, so I bought them to go with the paper I got at AC Moore. They were also on sale for $9 and change! Woo-hoo!

I was at Michael's earlier and many aisles were bare since they were restocking and rearranging things. I'll have to pop in a few days from now and check out the new goodies.

I have been to all the micheals close to my house {ridgedale, plymouth, bloomington}, and yes it is all being rearranged, however, not everything is in the same place. some areas in the ridgedale store are bigger than plymouth {which by the way a brand new store}, and bloomington's store shelves are empty, and employees are working on them.

so it will be amazing to see what gets done, and finally on the shelves once they unveil Martha.......I am hoping with all of this hype, we aren't disappointed.

I was tripping over (and peeking into) the boxes as they were putting up the new stuff, but filling up my basket with all the clearance stuff they have going on.
Was thrilled with my find at Big Lots today --- Brenda Walton and Inkadinkadoo clear stamp sets for $1. And quite a selection, too.
I've got pictures on my blog.

Default Wisconsin too!

I was in the New Berlin, Wisconsin store yesterday and they had two almost empty aisles in the stamping and scrapping area. I can't wait to see the new products. Now, we need another 50% off coupon, with NO restrictions on the new lines.....................................

Waiting somewhat patiently--Barb

Default Martha Stewart at Michaels?

I was at my local Michael's yesterday and they did have a lot of new stuff - at least it seemed like a lot of new stuff. No $1 stamps though
So I started talking to one of the sales people and she told me that she had seen the Martha Stewart stuff and that it is very nice but EXPENSIVE! She said the stuff that they had gotten in (but can't put on the shelves until the end of the month) was really archival type stuff - suitable for family albums with old photos, etc. She said the albums were nice but very large. I think I heard they are like 16x16! A lot of the Martha Stewart stuff will be going into other departments, like baking and candy making, etc. So, I guess Martha is doing a whole line for Michaels not just limited to scrapbooking/cards. Sounds like more scrapbook than cards. But that won't stop me from running right down there on the 29th!

I got the pearls too...I wanted to buy the whole aisle of the K & Co stuff, but I exercised some restraint! I'm quite impressed so far...all the little flower stickers and the tag books were very nice. I also saw a pile of boxes ready to be unpacked with stuff from all kinds of yummy companies like SEI. The big unveiling is next Saturday at my Mike's.

Ours too on the East Coast. They were rearanging all the stamping and scrapbooking shelves. A whole rrow both sides. Nothing but single paper, pads of paper, kits.

K&C. SOME REALLY FUN NEW STUFF. Wooden clothespins. Not the huge but medium size. New tools I never seen before.

A whole row of stickers both sides. Almost but getting there. A row of stamps.

Amazing how much new stuff they are putting out. It's like a whole new store.
Plus they'll be adding all the Martha items soon. I hope we're not all building our selves up for a huge disappointment on Martha goods.
