I've finally turned the bend. I'm a complete NUT!! Yesterday I was at a barbecue with a big group of people, many of whom I did not know. I was just standing around, acting somewhat appropriately, when all of a sudden I spotted the most beautiful pattern I'd ever seen! All I could think of was "I would LOVE to have some paper like that!". In my (twisted) little mind, I began planning all these great projects I could make with that paper. There was only one little, bitty problem, though. The pattern was on the shirt of an 18-month-old girl! Okay, so here's the really sick part. I became so obsessed with my thoughts that I eventually concocted an excuse to take a picture of a group of people that just happened to include this little girl! I hope nobody could tell I was zooming in on her shirt! So here it is, ladies. Pretty, huh?

ROFLMBO!!! It's Ok...we won't tell on you! But I have to agree that shirt is cute! I can think of a few things I'd do if I had paper that looked like that.

That is too funny! I know what you mean though. Over the weekend, I was in a hotel and kept looking at a carpet because I kept thinking that it would be a beautiful background on a card or something! I kept stopping to look at it so that I could memorize it. D'OH! I never thought to stop and take a photo of it. Great idea!!

I felt the same way when I saw my mom's shirt she was wearing when we were going to Hawaii. When we got on the plane, I pulled out my stamps and made 2 sheets that matched her shirt. (I brought limited supplies so I could stamp in the morning before people got up) Here's what I made:
Beautiful fabric - maybe you can stamp something like it. I am inspired by lots of different things I see, but often don't have a camera with me. Hmm, we have a real small digital camera, maybe should throw it in my purse for those emergencies.
Wenchie, that's amazing how you altered the photo like that, cool.

This is a riot! I think you should take lots of photos of different clothes that you love, then send them in to SU for the next set of designer paper. You could be famous!
That's funny! I love what you did with it in post #15!!! :-) Just yesterday I was walking behind a para at my kids school and looking at her blouse. The floral print inspired me to get creative, and my mind started spinning. The floral was similar to a stamp set I have, of course. I told her what I was thinking, and she told me that last time she wore it someone else told her that the blouse inspired them to make some craft project! How cool is that?!?!? :-)

I love your story! I do look at clothes and bed sheets (which I actually made a card already) patterns now and how I can make a card like them. My daugthers' have some cute floral dresses that someday when I have time will make a card like those patterns.
I know exactly what you mean. my neighbor girl has the cutest clothing and there has been more than a handful of times when I've asked her if I could take her pic. I usually just explain that I am an artist of sorts and the clothing has gotten the wheels turning....
LOL! Same thing happened to me when I was out shopping. I feel in love with a shirt b/c I thought it would make cute paper. I almost bought it to use the fabric in a scrapbook. ;)
My GD had on this really cute pair of underwear once and I thought about putting it on the scanner and capturing the pattern. It WAS very cute!! Know exactly where you're coming from! LOL

You could have accidently spilled something on the shirt (that would come out of course) and taken it home to wash it...lol and never return it. Soon to show up on a card near you...
It would be really funny if Mom is a stamper too, and visits this site, and checks out this thread, and happens to notice your picture. But at least then she would understand!
