Default What's your favorite UK online store?

I have family from Scotland coming to visit in September and I'm going to shopping so I can get things shipped to them for bringing with

Although most things are cheaper here, there are certain stamps (Sugar Nellies, Magnolia's etc) that are easier to get in the UK - and I love the Mirricard, which I haven't been able to find in the US, so I'd like to go surfing.

I know about Funkykits, Sir Stampalot and The Glitter Pot - any others? Any other must have item that I can't get here?

LikeAllyB, I tend to shop in the US - it's cheaper even when you add the shipping cost! I have ordered from several UK places though, these two come to mind...

Depends what you're looking for, I guess.

Glitter Pot is my favourite UK shop, I have been buying from him since he was just an eBay seller. Then he went to an online shop, and then a small bricks and mortar, but his service is still as good as ever.
www.happystampers.co.uk are also good.
If it's Mirri card you are after, I think Glitter Pot have it, and you could also try Joanna Sheen - www.joannasheen.com, I think.

Subscribing just too see what other people suggest! I love the mirricard too, and have yet to find it much at all in Canada or the US.. though I have found it here on occasion. Most of my shopping in the UK has been done through ebay, though I think I have purchased through Sillymonkeycrafts and FunkyKits.

My vote goes to Crafts U Love too.

I'm lucky to live just down the road from them.

Thanks, Carole - lots of lovely goodies to drool over

Is all mirricard created equal or are there specifics to keep in mind? As in, all card stock is not created of equal quality - does that make sense?

At risk of sounding like money is no object (which isn't true) I'm not trying to save money, I'm just looking for things you can't get here. Mirricard is just one example - I "found" it when a UK friend sent me a card using it - even if I had seen it on a website I don't know that I would have ordered it because I don't think the pictures do it justice. When I asked her about it, that same friend sent me several sheets of it, which I have been hoarding because I haven't been able to find it in the US - so that is on my wish list

Rubber stamps from UK designers that are not well known in the US, sayings that are "british" (because I may have lived here for almost 20 years, but my British sense of humour remains intact - see, I even spelt it right!)

I know Funky Kits ships to the US because that's how I got my Sugar Nellies,
this is just a chance for me to find out what other treasures there are out there? What's hot in the UK right now (that isn't a US import obviously)

Thanks to all who have posted - off to do some surfing!

And I think they might have been there... when my aunt came last year, she brought me a couple of Nellies to add to my collection. In return, I gave her a stamping addiction

I am from a small town called Brechin, on the North east coast, sort of midway between Dundee and Aberdeen.

OK, British stamp designers I can think of without thinking too hard (not sure what the shipping policies are for these but I'm guessing they're still fairly 'local' designs and not widely available in the US)...

Lavinia Stamps - some lovely natural images and cute fairies along with fairy houses etc (and cute sayings to go with them). Clear polymer stamps. I haven't tried these but know people who have and they seem fine quality-wise.

Dewdrop Craftz - a range right from cute animals through to adult nudes (tasteful, not porn but not to everyone's taste - avoid looking under Carl Torrosian if you are offended by images of naked women). Clear polymer stamps. I've had custom-made stamps from Nikki and the quality is good.

The Artistic Stamper - a range of traditional rubber stamps covering all sorts from architecture to nature, old advertising plates etc. Not quite as deeply etched as some stamps I've used but no problems in using them.

I can recommend the-glitter-pot.co.uk, thecardstudio.inf, craftsulove.co,.uk, Oysterstamps.co.uk, brilliant prices for the UK, great service and unique stamps, lots of vintage ladies and unusal stamps, also Joannasheen.co.uk excellent prices and service. Hope this helps

Blade Rubber has their own line of very British stamps IMO.

And they carry Woodware which I haven't found over here.

The shop that I have heard absolutely rave reviews about when I lived in England was Crafts U Love (who are having free UK deliver through midnight tonight BST!)

www.joannasheen.com http://www.joannasheen.com/craft-sup...rubber-stamps/ she designs some very British stamps as well as selling a range of other products. Her prices are fair and postage service is good and free-(she does ship to the USA, but I think there is a charge)

Also Laura Ashley have brought a lovely range of stamps and papers that are very English, although not what you would call "cute" they are available from a range of UK on line sellers.

I often use the papermill for card and paper- they used to be better value but are still good and have mirri card and stamps, I always visit a brick shop but they sell on line- their hammer finish card is lovely.

Also try www.stamps.co.uk I discovered them when I bought my wedding favour boxes.
