DD is 12 and a few of her friends are bringing gifts for each other for Christmas. So I need to come up with something inexpensive to make or do for her friends. Any ideas? TIA

Ohhh, good question. Sorry no help here. I am struggling with the same issue.

My daughter is 12...and she loves writing notes, making cards and journaling. Maybe a little journal? Or an altered post-it note pad with some glittery pens?

You could also do name frames or a large decorated wooden letter.
This is a good idea too!
And inspires me with another brainstorm...
Do you have a Cricut or Alphabet dies of any kind? I know girls would love to have their name in letters that they could stick anyway. Maybe a Xyron strip with the letters of their name on it?

I made a few photo albums (the plastic kind you purchase at the local craft store for $1). You recreate the cover - I used Doodle This on mine - with the Friends sentiment from the set. My daughter loved the way they turned out. I have them posted to my gallery and blog. Hope that helps. They were cute - and quick and easy to make.

My niece is about that age and she lives the altered composition books. We are going to make some for her friends. I went to Target and found some mini gel pens (4 for $1 in the dollar spot) to include with them.
For a grand-niece that age I made one of the mini-backpacks and put a sticky notepad in the front pocket and an altered mini comp book inside. Then I did a regular size comp book to match.
